1969 Jeep Wagoneer SJ LS3 4X4 Rock Crawler Build Project
This patina’d 1969 Jeep Wagoneer is receiving a radical transformation by MetalWorks Classics Auto Restoration & Speed Shop. This wolf in sheep’s clothing will receive a brand new GM Performance LS3 engine & transmission joined to an Advance Adapters transfer case. Axles will be updated to EmWest “Crawl King” axles.

As an owner of two 1985 Wagoneers, one lifted and one in stock form, I have watched this video a few times and each time it encourages me to continue working on mine. Thanks for the inspiration.

I just bought a 1980 sj 2 door, gona do a fule injection conversion kit, it has a lot if the original parts, but over the years the body has so much rust that it would cost too much to restore , has the 360 with auto 3 speed, 😅
Jeep Wagoneer was the Suburban those years, great moments for traveling , ranch and joying with the family.

Very cool and well built! A lot of people don't realize, that modern leaf springs work really good. My diy UJOR 4x4 ford van is on ujor speced leaf springs and drives vantastic!

It's tought to find one with a decent body and frame for under 3K. That's without a motor. Then for motor, trans and transfer case are going to be 10K alone. You will need driveshafts, brakes, wiring, axles, suspension... ect your looking at 20K before labor.
Half way through painted, and finished in rust. Brakes my heart 😭

Very nice build but all that money and work and not finish the interior and body restoration including paint? Such a Shame, Wagoneer's are the creme de creme of Jeeps.

After as much work done everything is new or restored and up graded . And you ruin it by that stupid patina bs no painting.
