1969 Hamilton GG-W-113 Vietnam Era Watch

Today we're looking at a vintage military classic, The Hamilton gg-w-113 government issued Vietnam War pilot's watch. This model was spec'd by the U.S. government for pilots in the U.S. military. The case is parkerized steel, for toughness and anti-glare. The dial is a sterile dial with tritium lumed markers and 24 hour numerals. It's manual wind, with hacking seconds. Enjoy!

My father passed away in 2021 and was a Marine Pilot. I just had his serviced and repaired. I remember him wearing it when I was a kid.

I have one from August 1969, serial No 21558. I bought it when I was visiting the US in hollidays almost 12 years ago. Back to Spain with me. I sent it again to the US to be serviced and restored cause in Spain no one had spare pieces (glass with ring and crown). Now restored, works really good, it keeps the time perfectly and looks lovely. Really light to wear with nato strap. Love this watch and its history. One of my favourite pieces

I am pretty sure the watch shown has many not original parts. The example is the back is not original and the watch face of a GG-W-113 will never have words. This 113 says Swiss. What are y’all’s thoughts on this?

The ggw113 was produced only between 1967-1969. Hamilton went out of business in 1969
Beautiful video, beautiful watch. I got the modern version the Khaki Field, it will prolly last me the lifetime like yours. Hopefully
