Anthony Midnight While the Chevelle ran quicker, the Olds actually got to the finish line first. Holeshot.

But the chevelle won the quarter mile 13.684. Olds 13.791 if it was a half mile then yah the olds might have won.

No, the Chevelle ran quicker, but because the reaction time was quicker for the Olds driver he actually crossed the line first. It depends if this was for qualifying or a round elim. In racing its who gets there first and the win light was shown in the Olds' lane...He got a holeshot win...

Actually the Big Block Olds is a tall deck (10.625 ) and the Small Block Olds is a short deck (9.330 ) as measured from the crankshaft centerline to the top of the deck, some parts do interchange but not all.

Oldspowered69 HOW DO YOU FIGURE THE OLDS GOT TO THE FINISH LINE QUICKER?! THE CLOCKS RECORDED THAT THE OLDS RAN A 13.79 V. 13.60S? YOU UNDERSTAND DRAG RACING, OR DID YOU JUST GET WET AT SEEING THE OLDS TAKE OFF FASTER? THE GODDAMN CHEVY CAUGHT IT BEFORE THE FINISH LINE!!!

No since the Olds' win light is on. The 442 cut a better reaction time and held off the Chevy for the win. I guess YOU do not understand drag racing.

@@techmaven5900 It can also be hard to tell because the camera is at one fixed point watching the cars go down the strip. The angle of the camera to the strip can play tricks with your eyes. Someone may look like their ahead, then suddenly "fall behind" as they pass the camera, then look like they catch up again, due to the perspective of the camera. It's a trick of the eyes. You're not really seeing what you think you're seeing.
