+Pha Q It's built for SHOW Not to Go. Yes it should be making some horsepower, but with ONLY 14 lbs of boost it's not going be HUGE numbers. A Single Turbo can put out more boost than that. The 468 cubic inch and 200hp shot of nitrous would probably make as much hp as it does running the twin turbos and blower at 14psi. It MIGHT be putting out 850-900hp if properly tuned and MAYBE a thousand with the nitrous added on top of all that. GOOD NUMBERS for sure, but nowhere near what people THINK it makes just because of how it looks.

with any forced induction you have to put it on a dyno to look at the air fuel ratio with a wideband. anyone that builds engines professionally will tell you tuning is a critical part of having the engine setup properly. maybe with all the money and time he put into it the numbers are low.

+scott winkler you took the words right out of my fucking mouth! Except his numbers probably arent low but in fact non existent! The engineering involved in a turbocharged plus supercharged engine is enormous, and cost a fortune just to make it run properly less know tune. Which is why production supercars dont have this setup currently. He probably has the blower running and the turbos not connected. which explains why hes driving so slow. Reliability issues.

This is the kind of car HotWheels would make.

I can't believe how many idiots have commented about the drivability or practicality of this car. IT'S A SHOW CAR, PEOPLE! If you watch the ENTIRE video BEFORE you make your stupid comments, you'll know WHY he built this car, and that he DOES NOT DRIVE OR RACE IT! It's for SHOW ONLY! It's NOT meant to be practical in design. Is NOT meant to be efficient. It's NOT meant to be raced. It was built just to see if he could do it, and he could and did! Bravo to the owner for being able to have the extra time, money, and energy to be able to have this hobby. I'm sure most of us wish we could do SOMETHING (maybe not with cars) like this with our free time.

It's this gentleman's car, so he can do what he want's with it. Everyone with their thumbs down are likely jealous and couldn't afford a wheel off it. I own a muscle car myself and no one will be telling me what to do or not do with it. Mine is only 742HP and no where near the kind of HP this Camaro cranks out. I've never run it down the 1/4 and don't care to. I did all that racing stuff back in the 70's when I was young. I built my latest one for the street to enjoy and that works for me. This Camaro is a beautiful piece of art, just wish the camera man had of caught the little cold launch :)

The guy is right, it is a running show car. No racer would design a car like that. Too weird and not efficient.

This guy comes off as just a really cool dude. I've seen him in other shoots you've had and each time he's just polite as can be. He don't seem to have a huge ego, just a guy that just loves cars and enjoys sharing it a these meets. The car is amazing. I love his response about running it with a simple "I don't care to take it to the strip" when you ask about the times. Good guy, badass car.

+ScottieDTV there's a lot of hating and and criticizing going on in the comments with the s/c and turbo needing to be swapped, or the car can't make ___________ hp, to some even calling it a joke. I think people need to replay it and hear the man say he don't care about the power, that he built it that way cause he wanted to, it's how he wanted to build it. He even says he don't care to get any #'s at the strip, it's a show car. He built it to show, how he likes it and is cool enough to take it to meets so someone else can enjoy it too. I'm not sure how anyone could misconstrue that other than "man, that must make tons of power" hater "I can't make nothing, it's all wrong. If I built it id______________". My answer to that is great, go build what you like, for you. Personally, I like it. It has a "fuck a Prius" vibe that makes me smirk and internally flip Toyota off. Mission accomplished my friend, nicely done.

Many years ago had a 69 Camaro SS Convertible with the First cowl induction.It had a "quadraphonic "stereo system White with orange stripes on the hood .It was a beauty.

i wish i had just a quarter of the money he put into it.

No the car couldn't handle 2000hp, it would blow a rod. With boost supercharger and nitro taken into account it probably makes just over 1200. Although you'd never find out from a dyno as the engine would blow up over 5000 revs and that's $50,000 and 15 years down the drain

@@sticklebacketienne yes it's one of those types of engines that would last maybe 2 or 3 eighth-mile drag races between rebuilds (if he's lucky). It would probably be too risky to run a full quarter with that kind of boost. Shoot, it probably only lasts a couple trips to Walmart & Autozone between rebuilds

Is it just me, or does anyone else find the turbo set up just a little bit pointless? The charged air goes into the spacer under the intake, but unless that sucker is sealed on that back half of the spacer, all the compression benefits from the turbos are going to be negated. It'd be like trying to blow up a balloon with a hole in it...

Amazing attention to detail and engineering. I would love to see in on a Dyno and the results of it. Even more interesting to see it run the track and the time /MPH it would turn in the 1/8th mile or 1/4 mile I suspect the results would shake up quite a few people. Congratulations to the builder he shows a great imagination to the sport of Hot Rod Builders

It's way over the top and not very functional, even for a track/drag car, but one of the cleanest jobs I've seen done on a classic camaro. I feel sorry for whoever had to attempt at tuning it lol.

The way the turbos are piped they look to be useless. When they hit boost with the intake wide open it wont build boost. The supercharger is doing all the fun stuff.

He just made it look pretty, but its a normal form and function of a twin charged system. Bravo, glad to see he made it work.

The scoop on top cannot build boost with the throttle flaps wide open. Regardless, the extra air from the turbos would still help like a RAM air effect. He gets a 10 in style points but you'd make more power with just the turbos or SC alone if properly tuned.

brown55061 The red intake is sealed. It looks great. It is just a scoop for the compressor inlets. The small airbox below the red intake is sealed, and pressurized by the turbos that feeds the blower. Just like the underground kit they made for the Ford GT. The supercharger will pull through the turbos until they spool.

It's not Honda. It's a Chevy Camaro SS. It's not a ricer. Ricers are wannabes. Rice stands for Race inspired COSMETIC enhancement. That huge ass blower is not cosmetic. It have a purpose idk what. it's not race inspired. Like he said in the video, its not race car or race inspired. It's more of a street car.Don't blame me, the owner said it in the video.

Actually the kit is called Ground Effect and they can go on anything, I've seen them from the factory on a 2012 Camaro.

ur a dumbass. That big block with a roots blower and 2 monster turbos plus a 200 shot is probably 1500 plus and the wheels. which is the opposite of ricer

On the new cars I guess I didn't notice the double blowers and turbos sticking out of the hoods. I need to look closer I guess.
