@@whompmaster Nice! I bought mine in '78 from my big brother for... $500! Then my dad died suddenly and all I wanted was to kick ass on anyone and everything! Including the 'bullies' from my home town... because, isn't that the true meaning of a Grudge Match? Being a blonde 17 year old girl was a lot of fun also! "I like your boyfriend's car". Yeah, see ya at the next light! It was a 'sleeper'. The original owner was a GM employee and it came out of the factory with a full lift cam, but everything else was stock? Not for long.. Van Halen 'Jump'? My preflight tunes were usually Nazareth, 'Hair of the Dog'... on 8 track! Fun times weren't they! Peace!

@@maggierezac5820 I sort of got my 68 Camaro by accident. I first had a 1969 Camaro for a WEEKEND until someone told my mom I was spinning my tires. On Monday my dad took the car back and broke my heart! He realized what he had done and told me to look for another Camaro. After a few long weeks, I found my 68 in the paper and didn't know what I was getting myself into! The guy had just built the engine, 327, and it chopped like a thunder storm. A lot like in this video. I used to stop at a stop light and people would look at my car and my keys would shake back and forth just from the chop alone. It was built to race and was way more than a 16 yr. kid needed to have but I loved it! I never lost a race and it was even faster if we started at a rolling 20 mph start. LOL Oh yea, we paid 2K for mine.

@@whompmaster Sweet! I left my rear wheel wells rusted and had the name GRAMMA in some silly stick on letters on the side of it! Total sleeper and that damned thumping cam, I just said something stupid about the carbonator! 😉 $20 bucks at the next light! I was kind and pulled over to wait.. Love the small blocks too! And the rolling start! I had 4: 11s so good off the line, but not so much with real estate. Leapt off the line in 2nd gear {whiny M-21} with a Hurst spring loaded shifter, from 2nd to 3rd. Didn't "light 'em up' so again, snooze. Another advantage was that I was also driving a Garbage Truck for the family business so I knew every nook and cranny to 'hide' from po-po! Fun times and Damn, I wish my dad could've lived long enough to see me win! Peace! 🔥🤘😎💨💨💨
