This is an excellent presentation of a lovely car in beautiful condition. I believe when the gentleman narrating had pointed out the absence of "Cornering Lamps" he actually meant to say "Side-Marker-Lights" or "Side-Running-Lights" as these had become a federal safety standard the following year, in 1968. Whereas "Cornering Lamps" being located at the front side fenders only, had been around for years. Their purpose was to illuminate dark corners of roadways being turned onto when making a left or right turn.

My parents had a '67 clamshell 4 door landau...Brittany Blue with a dark blue vinyl top. It also had the 428....actually 345 HP....the 429 that replaced it the next year was 365 HP. My parents also bought a '68 T-Bird coupe. They LOVED those cars. The 429 was a brute, tons of torque....effortless power. My personal favorite (I was in my teens and was in awe of these cars...up until then my parents never bought luxury cars, but my dad's business took off and they finally splurged) was the 428....it was SO refined and quiet, you could barely hear the engine. The interior finishes were amazing in 67...the 68 was more minimalist and mid century, and the quality wasn't quite as good. The 67 was bolted together very well. I kept them detailed for my parents at all times back then...I miss those cars.

What a beauty. New owner is a lucky guy. Of the 3 years, the 67 was the best trimmed out...quality stuff. The 428 is the icing on the cake, if you can tolerate single digit mpg.

Incredible condition and a epic classic. It came through a dealer in my neighborhood, Rosen Novak Ford on East Colfax Avenue in Denver. Really amazing preservation of a great car.

Drop dead gorgeous and the nicest year of the 67/68/68 Birds. Too bad about the rear bumper/trim ding on an otherwise perfect looking vehicle.

Our 67 was the four door with gorgeous red cloth interior - extremely regal. My only complaints were the vacuum operated windshield wipers (your car doesn't seem to have been driven in the rain) and having to replace the two mufflers, two resonators and all the pipes about every two years. I've never had to replace so many muffler systems on any other car. The replacements were stamped FOMOCO so were OEM quality. I wish they had done them in good quality stainless - our 1989 Fleetwood's stainless system was original and still quiet when we got rid of it four years ago (power antennae and self-levelling still worked too!). The wipers really spoiled driving in the rain. It was a fun car to get onto the expressway though and the massive disc brakes were well matched to the weight of the car.

Did you find this car in Grandma's attic in a Ziploc bag? Because this car is wow! I've always loved the 67 Thunderbirds! My neighbor had a four-door 67 Thunderbird and at one time I had a two-door Thunderbird! Wished I would have never gotten rid of that car!

I have a very similar car. Q code, two door, same crap brown color 😀 but had dark brown vinyl top. Car has only 10K miles on it but previous owner's family left it outside and the sun faded the paint and destroyed the top. They covered the interior though so it is in excellent condition. It has rare cloth seats. I tried to bring the paint back but it is too far gone so will need to be repainted. I'll probably do a color change but nothing too far from original. Maybe dark metallic gold or a candy root beer. Unfortunately these cars aren't worth a lot of money. My car restored to original would only be worth $15K to $20K even with low miles and the 428. What's the deal with the '30/'31 Model A Tudor hot rod?

Hot rod is a radical high end build that was prev featured in Popular Hot Rodding magazine. $145k build can be had for about half of that. Will be for sale nationally in next 45 days
