A 1965 Humber Imperial that belongs to a friend. It's believed there are only somewhere between 50 - 60 remaining so not a common sight on the roads today.

Humber cars last forever. There is a 60's Humber Super Snipe in its original condition still running around Christchurch in New Zealand. I see it often.

Driving around that old housing estate with so many obstacles and in drizzling rain seemed odd. This beauty needs to be kept in cotton wool in a nice dry environment.

Next to the Rover P5B, this is my favourite car by a long way. I would sooner have one of these than the every car needs to look the same that you see around today. It is so quiet as well. Thanks for upload.

This car was part of the Alan Marshal Humber collection . I bought it's running mate . I believe they were both painted in exactly the same colour to do bridal work . Imperials offer a level of luxury of the sort that you only get in a Bentley or Rolls Shadow. In fact all Imperials were made at the Rolls Royce coachbuilders . Supersnipes were made at Ryton Rootes factory. These engines lend themselves to gas conversions very well as low compression, slow revving units and could be an answer to the impending fuel regulations in 2028 .

The Imperial was not sold here, but there were modest sales of the Super Snipe. I don't have any precise statistics, but my impression was that they were outsold by the Rover 3 Litre. From memory, the Hawk with his body was not sold here either.

I had a 1966 estate, in white, ex- Kent police. Column change manual, overdrive, no power steering (this was a police version). I converted it to floor change. Note @0:28 the cover over the hole in the front bumper for a starting handle. It was tough swinging that handle. I had never seen a silver one - more usually black as funeral companies loved Humbers.

Would the streets look lovely if these were still around! Is the filler pipe behind the rear reflector?

I think your right about the filler but it's not my car so can't be 100%. I have to agree that the streets would look much better with more classic cars.

Just a hint, if you've still got the car; I once knew someone who had a Jensen Interceptor. He drove it into work some days and drove a Mini (I think it was a Cooper) on other days. He told me he couldn't afford to run it every day.
