1963 was my very favorite model year of Cadillacs. Of course the Fleetwood was the ultimate Cadillac. The '64s were just as beautiful, but I prefer the rear bumper styling of the '63s.

@@davidfoley9642They are, but actually t's just the shape of the back bumper that makes the difference for me. The side vertical sections of the '64 bulged out to a peak in the middle. On the '63s they were straight. I prefer the bumper on the '63. But, over-all, they are both beautiful.

That was my driver in 70/71. Charcoal with black vinyl top, charcoal cloth and white leather seats. Just a smooth quiet ride at 100 MPH all day long. There will never be an equal built to it;s quality and class. One of the ones I am sorry I let go.

Beautiful! Sixty Specials and later deElegance were the pinnacle of Cadillac luxury and class. I am so happy that the previous owner whcarefully enjoyed it as a daily driver. Hope new owner also pampers it but also enjoys driving it with care. It's so disheartening to see what is now wearing the Cadillac name,

That was the first year it was offered. It was available, for 1963, at $134.20 and $91.25 extra on the Fleetwood Sixty Special (my favorite '63 Cadillac) and the Coupe deVille models respectively.

@@thomasshort1784 Thanks for the info. I love old Cadillacs. My Dad had a 58 over 50 yrs ago and we still talk about it 😄 I figured out recently it was a special order 1 of 1 and we will always miss it. It wasn't a series 75 limo but we had the jumps seats that fold down from the back of the front seat. 6 adults in it and got 22 highway 😊

@@davidkastin4240 You're welcome. As for special orders (and I'm talking about back in them days), after seeing some of the Data Book and Optional Specifications albums (I was born in 1982 so, this was before I was born, obviously, but, keep in mind, I still have a personal fascination with this stuff; for the most part, I've been fascinated with historical and other non-fictional things nearly all my life, anyway), it sure seemed the sky was the limit regarding just how you could order your car from the factory (I'm talking paint colors, carpets, upholstery mixes and matches, what have you, much less the functional options!). For example, after seeing some of those color-upholstery recommendations, while there's some I agree with, even I would've been inclined, in some cases, to break from them (did you know the dealers were advised to explain, in those instances, such and such was DEFINITELY wanted on the order forms just so the factory wouldn't misconstrue them as typographical errors?!; in fact, by the time the '67 Cadillacs came out, I've read where they even acknowledged such orders could be made!) and have one done MY WAY (hypothetically, in my case, it would've been a Fleetwood Sixty Special or even, 1965 or later, a Fleetwood Brougham) and I'm positive, at least, a small percentage of those buyers (I'm sure, on average, old enough to be my grandparents) had that exact same attitude and I can't necessarily blame them! It's all about what YOU (NOT the stylists!) want and, not to mention, having had the financial wherewithal to afford it, of course.

Nice car, but still not fully loaded, I say that because I noticed 1 thing for sure is missing and that is the " Cruise Control" !!! Yes, they had it because I owned one of these and I was 3rd owner and my father was 2nd owner and purchased it in 1964 and my father new the original owner very well. This is a very nice car no mistake. I wish I still had it !!!

... It's 'not bad'. The engine is a bit noisy, IMO. The forward part of the front passenger door's woodgrain is a bit 'worn', probably due to a bit of rain entering via the right front vent window. ... Now, 1963 was the first year for an AM-FM radio, but strictly as an option (even for the top-of-the-line Fleetwood 60 Special). This car only has an AM. It's a good car... but 23.9K is a bit steep, given its condition, IMO. I'd say that it's worth closer to 17.9K.

The fake wood is horrible! And I'm not a fan of vinyl roofs or leather interiors. I had a 1966 Coupe De Ville which had a leather and silk brocade interior which was gorgeous. I would always go for the fabric interiors.

Do some research. The wood was real wood and I owned a 63 Fleetwood. It had fabric and leather trimmed seats.
