1962 Lincoln Continental - Complete Air Suspension Installation

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Grab your soda and popcorn- this is a long one! I'm splitting it up into chapters so you can jump to the parts you actually want to see, but we're covering a complete installation of air suspension on a 1962 Continental using Air Lift 3H management and Choppin' Block front and rear suspension.
This car was already equipped with air ride, but as you'll see it left a bit to be desired. I hope you enjoy- worst case, I hope you got a nice nap out of it!

This was great to watch. I'm about to install this air ride kit to my 61 hardtop, so it was great to see the process.

I have a question woud it be good to put seam sealer glue between the new bolt on mounts and the frame because if u go trough water, water can accumilate in between the frame and new mounts witch are screwd in ? Ye its not going to be a problem instatnly but later down the line it coud rust the frame in that part ye its painted but water can still get trough paint to the metal to rust out that part if there is water there for some time

Nice vid. I don’t understand why Airlift sends out angled air line fittings for the bag which made routing the air lines super tricky in the frame cup. I replaced mine with straight fittings so that the airline came straight up and out.

You’re talking about for the front bags? I definitely prefer to run the line straight up and then put a 90° union fitting just outside. I’ve never gotten fittings from them so I didn’t know- I’ll have to message them about that!

@@twistedimages405 My bad. I meant to say from Airlift. That 90 degree fitting is a good idea. Barbed? 🤔

@@Realest1979 it’s a 90° PTC union- just line to line DOT push- connect. Makes installing/removing a bag so much easier and you don’t need to leave a bunch of slack in that long run from the front end back to the trunk
