The '60 Starliner is an overlooked car to begin with and when people see it, except for us old guys probably think it's foreign. When you see it the thing looks futuristic. The custom touches like the dechroming, reworked fins and rocker panels just made it look longer , lower and wider. The ultimate sled to me. Great job guys and keep it away from the crusher.

Ford did not put PCV valves on there engines until 1966. Somebody has added one on to that Starliner. Originally a tube went from the back of the valve cover on the passenger side down past the transmission where the crankcase fumes exited into the air. I thought about converting mine on my 65 Galaxie over to the closed system, but so far it is still original. Those Starliners were beautiful cars.

Usually I drill a 1/8 or so hole in the thermostat to make it easier to bleed the cooling system when done (typically by jacking up the front end of the car and letting it sit, so that air rises to the highest point like bubbles in a glass of soda pop--typically the radiator cap but in this case, the expansion tank). If you don't want to bend the fins in the radiator while installing, cut the box it came in and tape that to the part of the radiator most likely to get scratched, install and then remove the cardboard. For $20 you can pick up a funnel kit that has radiator cap adaptors, so you put it on, fill the funnel halfway, it blocks the usual overflow tank and you run the engine--it burps out the last of the air, which can cause hot running temps on the highway.
