1960 Impala Bubbletop builder Shawn Patrick at the 2017 Northwest Rodarama
Dad bought the car around 1960 and passed away about 13 years ago; son got a hold of Shawn to build this beautiful car. The Ferrari red color on this car is DEEP, and Shawn tells us how he got it that way. Checkout one of the nicest Impala's we've seen!

My very 1st Car was a '60 Impala 2dr Coupe HT with the 253 cu.in. engine and automatic trans. Black & White 2 toned exterior with red & white interior. Bought it in June 1968 ,... owner was shipping out to Vietnam . Loved that car !

Around the age of 21 and in the AF, had a nice red 289 cc '60 Impala convertible with a white top. Sure miss that that car.

I HAD A 1960 FACTORY RED IMPALA DUNTOV COUPE.IT HAD THE DUNTOV VERSION OF THE 348 AT 335HP 4SPEED POSI DELETE ALL POWER /STEERING BRAKES WINDOWS SEAT ETC. NO PADDED DASH.AND THEY WERE NOT CALLED BUBBLE TOPS TILL 1961 WHEN THEY DOWNSIZED THE GM LINEUP AND ALL HARDTOPS APPEARED LIKE A GLASS BUBBLE .IN ACTUALITY THERE WAS NO DIFFERENCE IN THE 60--61 TOPS JUST THE APPEARANCE
Without a doubt this is the sharpest 60 Chevrolet .

it is unspeakably gorgeous in all details but is it street legal with no shoulder belt , air bags and head restraints? it probably has seatbelts.

'60 Impalas were never considered to be bubbletops , those were the '61 Impalas and some '62 Bel Airs .

It's not candy apple red , that is Ferrari red .
Now days nobody design cars like the1959, 60 Impalas, 1958, Buick Super, 1959 60 Cadillac El Dorado, 1964 Mustang, 1957 Pontiac Star Chief, 1958 Oldsmobile 98. Today cars looks the same like cookies.
