1960 Chevy Impala - The Road to SEMA - Manns Restoration

In this video, we show what it took for Manns Restoration to get their 1960 Chevrolet Impala to SEMA. This car had been sitting in a field for years, rotting into the ground. No everyone would choose to restore a car in such rough condition, but this one had great sentimental value to it's owner. As a young man, he worked hard bailing hay and saved up the cash to purchase this car. He enjoyed the car for many years, before he finally quit driving it. His dream was to make it beautiful again and to get to drive it one last time. The crew at Manns really poured their hearts into this one and performed a true miracle, by bringing the Impala back to life. They were invited to show their car at SEMA 2017, in the Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes booth. The unveiling went well and the car was very well received. We hope you enjoy this look at the build in progress, as well as the finished product. They really did a wonderful job. We'll have a full test drive video coming up soon as well, so you can be watching for that one. Thanks for taking a look, we appreciate it!
Manns Restoration would like to extend special thanks to their friends at Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes, Ogden Chrome, Billet Specialties, Autotrend, and the Roadster Shop.
Filmed at Manns Restoration, in Festus, Missouri and at SEMA 2017, in Las Vegas Nevada.

Oh, and for a Craftsman this is the joy in life along with family...
Seeing young guys doing the work is great! There is hope for the future
I'm right. Cars are like toys for adults. And this toy is beautiful.
WOW. ! IF THAT CAR COULD TALK...... " THANKYOU EVERYONE, I FEEL BEAUTIFUL ".
As someone who has done a lot of bodywork, I can appreciate all of the effort that went into this car. Long flat panels but also intricate curves, especially under the fins. A real work of art!
Older video, this is one of the most beautiful 1960 IMPALA'S I've seen, the restoration on this is perfect, Manns and crew deserve a Reward on this build, hands down a true CLASSIC, words cannot describe how nice this car is, the 60 IMPALA, one beautiful design by Chevrolet, starting from 1955 to 1970 Chevrolet built some of their best body styles, 1958 being the first IMPALA, THANKS to Ramblin Around for showing this 60 IMPALA and Congratulations to Manns Restoration for a Excellent build on a CLASSIC 1960 IMPALA ❤.

1960 Chevrolet Impala my favorite car ever since I seen my first one in 1967 I was hooked........
They did a VERY good job restoring that '60 Chevy. It's a thing of TRUE beauty.
A WHOLE LOT OF LOVE WENT INTO THAT CAR , IT'S BEAUTIFUL I COULD NEVER LET IT GO . I BUILT A 69 SUPERBEE , AS MUCH TIME MY HANDS SPENT ON THAT CAR . IT'S ALWAYS A BIG PART OF ME . CONGRATS GUYS BIG LOVE .
I always say when Americans get together to build nothing but the best there are no stopping them my respect goes to them God Bless America🇵🇷🇺🇲👍🙏
SEMA restoration is awesome. They brought this 1960 Impala from ashes to glory and excellence. Congratulations!
This brings back great memories for me. My mother had a 1960 2 door Chevrolet Impala and she taught me how to drive in that car. 348 motor and 3 speed stick shift on the floor.
My uncle owned a red 1960 Impala when I was a little kid. This brought back some great memories.
I am the 3rd owner of my 60 Impala suntan copper, the family that I purchased it from bought it in 1970 from a local school teacher, they had many memories in it as does me and my family I would never think of selling until I die and it moves on, these cars were very prone to rust and if they were not garaged the whole time like Mine it’s hard to get a good example these days, you guys did an incredible job restoring this beautiful car! From another good example owner!
All these guys enjoying what they doing. The final result... a master piece.

Thanks for taking a look Eddy!
My uncle Artie bought a black '60 Impala brand new. I was five years old and I remember he gave my brother and me a dime each to clean his already clean rear roll-down windows. I think my earliest memory. His was black with red interior and I've been in love with the '60 Impala ever since.
A lyrical presentation of the restoration process; as beautiful visually and musically as the extraordinary result.
Gorgeous '60! Awesome craftsmanship!!!

Do not even think "Absolutely amazing" does it justice.
Dedication, hard work, and attention to detail is how amazing cars like this are saved. Thanks again.

The 1960 impala was one of my favorites.
I recall as a teen just standing behind my Uncle's 1960 red Biscayne/Impala? starring down the lines of the "wing" toward the side, front, for time upon end. It was so cool, just mesmerizing! A stock 6 cylinder. Nonetheless... he treated it as if it were made of "Solid Red Gold!" Nothing in comparison to this show car, or even some of my cars later. However, still to this day: I would welcome, not trade that time: just starring down the lines of that 1960 Chevrolet.! Thank you, J
Everything about it is perfect, I love the color.

Love the crews doing the job so passionately with great dedication and love.what a great moving sculpture that impala is....
Watching this brings a tear to my eye! When I was a boy, at 3 years young! My Dad! God Rest His Soul! bought a brand new 1960 Chevy Impala, White, Light Blue Interior, 283 ci. The curves on that car was like a Center Fold Model! The road trips, sleeping in the back window, the bluegrass music coming out the speaker in the middle of the seat! Mom & Dad setting in the front seat, and the whole back seat was mine! THIS CAR BRINGS BACK SOME FOND MEMORIES! THE MUSIC YOU HAVE CHOSEN IS PERFECT!!!,,,,, THANK YOU!!
A LOT of work went into rescuing this beautiful piece of automotive history obviously and thank you so much for salvaging this car and for posting! Excellent job guys.
My Dad had a 60,turquoise and white 2dr hard top Impala. I learned to drive in that car, loved it. I was always washing and waxing it, a beautiful car. He went to a 63 Cadillac which also was nice but my heart will always with the Chevy.
Been Around Cars all my life. Body Shops, Car Dealer Ships, Top Shops Used Car Sales Business and I have to say you guys are the Best. I Hope this video will Do you guys a Solid Boost to your business. Very Well Done.
They Sure Did Put a lot of work into this Car 🚗. It Came out Beautiful 😍 👌.
Wow. That is one beautiful car!
Absolutely beautiful car.
IT'S LIKE BRINGING AN OLD FRIEND BACK TO LIFE, GREAT JOB!! I HAD A 1964 IMPALA RAG TOP, WAS MY FIRST CAR. LOVED THAT LITTLE 283 V-8!!! ☘️🤓

348 never seen a 283 with valve covers like that.
That is the finest classic Chevrolet I have seen. The color, the hand built craftsmanship, The "tri-power" fuel injection, interior, wheels, all just perfect. Great work.
I'm 73 and the first car I ever owned was a 1960 Impala, Jet black with a red interior. It was 3 years old when I bought it and it had 20 thousand miles on it. It was the best looking car I ever owned. This is the first one I've seen restored and it's a master piece. It brought tears to my eyes. If I was a rich man I'd give whatever price it took to do what this car owner did for the most beautiful Chevy ever made.

My daddy had a 1960 Impala (bubbletop, I think). It was black with red accents/interior....a VERY sporty, fast car! I was born in 1957, but I remember this car...and we have old home movies of it, too. This video brought tears to my eyes, too!
Thank you Americans for building such amazing and beautiful cars. Greetings from Germany.
A magnificent work of art!
Best looking 60 Chevy I’ve ever seen. Probably my favorite restoration of any kind!
Seams impossible to make anything this large perfect, but this car is perfect.
Bob Seger said it Best! In the Backseat of my 60 Chevy. Working on those Night Moves! 🇺🇸👍🏁
Absolutely beautiful, my uncle had a 1960 Impala , it was black with a red interior. I was 8 years old, and it has been my favorite car since.

The muscle cars of 1950s and 60 are real treasures. In India I have seen a few such cars like Impala, Plymouth Savoy, Studebaker Commander and President, Dodge Kingsway etc.
Best looking car ever brilliant good on you guys great show thank you very much
That is absolutely beautiful. And you didn't suck the life out of the original car, interior or drivetrain. Big fan of this kind of vision and workmanship.

An incredible make-over. But, that's just my issue with it. It'ended up as a 'resto-mod', rather than being faithful to the original. Yes, it's gorgeous - but it's NOT the car the way it was made. I would have rather seen a redone motor and drive-train more faithful to the original. The new separate front seats and console is amazing, but not the way the car was made. The new wheels are terrific - but perhaps replicating the original steel wheels and 'poverty' caps would have been more authentic? I don't know. If they set out to do a 'restoration', this certainly isn't it. I don't mean to pour water on the party, folks. I can certainly acknowledge that the Mann's Restoration crew did an amazing job, though.
I love that car its perfect your work guys has gone beyond.
