Cruise control is an ultra rare and highly desirable option on ‘59 Cadillacs. This was the first year it was available on any GM car as Chrysler had only invented it in 1958.

This model was called: Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special. It was the only model where the taillight bullets were chromed.

That is really a nice car. In 59 not many people could afford such a car so not many were built. If Cadillac produced something comparable to this today I can only imagine the price it would have to sell for. My favorite of all cars is the 59 Cadillac Elrorado convertible. But 59 Cadillac Fleetwood is very close!

My Dad who was a welder bought a ‘59 Series 62 two door coupe new for $4500. Average full size ‘59 Chevy was about $2500. This one was probably close to $6K-6.5K.

very late to this party. no mention of the airride suspension...that little V-2 compressor attached to the power steering is for the air springs. Most were converted to coils due to a factory recall, but a few were repaired and still on air. which would be a big selling point for this car.

Why didn't you do a long shot of the entire car. We don't want to see it up close. C'mon now. Terrible views of the car!

Gorgeous car. Really inexpensive too as their value only goes up to 25K. That may seem expensive but for a 59 Cadillac its cheap lol!

Because it's a Fleetwood sedan. If it was a coupe, an Eldorado coupe, or a convertible Eldorado Series 62 Brougham Coupe, the value would double, triple, or quadruple.

Joe Series 62 was the base model. My folks bought one new: $4500.
