1958 Plymouth Belvedere - Back Home! First Update Video In Years + New Exhaust Sound Engine Revving!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
It's been a loooong time since I posted a (longer) video about my 1958 Plymouth. I bought this car almost 9 years ago. It has been sitting for over 10 years and was recently brought back home after spending a couple of years at a bodyshop. Progress was slow due to lack of funds to finish her. This is a first quick update I filmed a couple of weeks ago. Lots of talking, probably boring...but maybe you like to watch it anyway?
A huge THANK YOU to Markus Boerner at www.boerner-racing.de/ for doing all the necessary body work and the hand built custom dual exhaust system!

It's been so long, I almost forgot about the car. 😆 Still need to throw some more money at her, especially regarding paint. I have the seat frames and covers but still need someone to do the door panels.
Congratulations 🎊
WOW. I remember you from the old Christine car club years ago! Your old car was one of Fury Jim’s as is mine. Best of luck with your new project 58. She looks great.

Which of his cars did you buy? I remember (at least I think so) a black 2dr Sedan with a hood scoop and a flame thrower or something? Not sure, it's been a long time. 😆

@@AudioMobil yes. That was the car. I say “was” because I pretty much restored her to a more original appearance and got rid of the flame throwers. New hood. Paint. Interior. Sporttone trim.
Wonderful car sir, I'm a vintage car enthusiast too from Europe, you know any vintage car meetups in Europe? I'd love to see them with my eyes
Love the car man! I hope to see it on a meeting one day. Greetings from your west neighbouring country.
A beautiful video about a beautiful car. Can you please tell me about the alarm system in Plymouth, and does there even exist an anti-theft system in this car? I really want to buy it too, but I'm afraid it will be stolen.
Oh wow that is a very good overview. What became of the Plymouth you both from the now closed Kaufdorf junkyard? I guess it is now just a memory regardless. Your lucky to get the vehicle back, some shops have a policy if you can't afford to pay for it. They will size the vehicle as a payment and sell it. I don't think you can legally do that without a court order. But there are allsorts of shady practices these days.

Luckily I had an agreement with the owner of the shop. He stored it inside and only did as much work at a time as I could pay for. I just uploaded a short video about the 57 Fury I bought in Switzerland back then.

@@AudioMobil Very cool. I hope to see more videos in the future. Regarding the rebuild and assembly process. I did notice someone had replaced the single brake master reservoir with a dual one. That is much better solution for such a heavy vehicle. But do you plan to use the original booster or just leave it as it is?

@@SuperMAZ007 I bought a AAJ disc brake conversion kit years ago and had it installed at the shop. I filmed a clip where I mention and show it but I lost the footage somehow. This car never had power brakes so I probably will leave it this way. I don't even know if it would be possible to use the original booster setup anyway.

@@AudioMobil If the break system is legal by the German TÜV rules, than leave it as it is. Other wise just keep fixing the vehicle and keep us updated.
Hi! Any news on your Plymouth?😊 Ron from Norway from the old CCC forum.

Ciao fratelli, voglio chiedervi una cosa. Ho alcune domande su questo afdomobile. Quanto consuma questo afdomobile per 100 litri di benzina? In che anno è stato rilasciato questo afdomobile?
Where is the "U" on the trunk?
Is this Avdomobile automatic or mechanical? What is the engine power of this Afdomobile? why there are no right and left turning lights, afdomobile, how much was the weight, the reason I paid this price is because I love this afdomobile, yes, I love retro afdomobiles very much
😢 NOO why you sell her like that
