Look at that this washer washes clothes a Hell of a lot better than the crappy high efficiency washers today

I love your machine. Glad to see that you didn't overload it, your clothes should tumble freely to the center of the tub. Love love love your video. Tim😃

So quiet and not disturbing the whole house. For those that like quiet machines.

Hotpoint Empress we had a 1955 one and along with the wringer it had a roller iron which went in to the wringer drive and the hot shoe had a separate plug in we had it until 1987 when we sold it on fully working. :)

It is rainy in Los Angeles, CA because of the storm. Have some light weight but outdated wind breakers and clothes of that sort. Have been wondering if there were people recycling and converting them into rain coats using plastic bags, hot iron, hot glue gun, hot glue sticks, and parchment papers. I believe that it can be quite easy, creative, and practical.

It appears to have an electric heating element and a built-in water pump. Is this true? It would be an improvent over 1930s wringer washers.

Sorry mate but you should wash the white colours sperated. In this water they can not be really white.

Love the video, but why put white socks with dark clothes? I don't understand.

I use hot water but there’s a heater element with a manual switch if I want to use it

A pod in this type of washer won't work and if it does not as well as modern washers, would of gone with powder tbh

I assume, if you speak English, that you meant to say "would HAVE gone with powder". Would of makes no sense at all, dumbo.

I'm afraid I have to disagree. As long as that pod comes in contact with sufficiently heated water and dirty laundry, it will work in any washer, vintage, or modern🤓. Pods are nothing more than highly concentrated detergent neatly wrapped inside a “sophisticated” plastic shell.

@@wyzemann Fair enough they take so long to break down in modern washers as it is and that's with a high temp, thanks for explaining to me 😊
