Your videos illustrate the robust quality of old Tonka Toys. I also enjoy the 'scenes' you create with the finished vehicle, complete with the action figures. 100% awesome! Great job! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

In today's world, I kinda wish I could return to playing with my Tonka toys in my back yard during the mid 1960's. No worries, just me and my imagination. Thanks for taking me back to those days... you do superb work on these old relics of the past!

I agree. I am from the same generation as you from the sound of it. Times were so much better back then than they are now. It's wonderful to have great memories from our childhood.

As a kid there was one of these trucks in the toy stash at grandma's house. I have many fond memories of playing with it under the big tree in her back yard. Thanks for restoring this one.

Back in the late 70's to very early 80's, I played with one of these, it was my fathers when he was a kid. It was in near flawless condition (as far as I can remember) It still had the chains attached to the back /side panels and was still glossy. also had the road grader to go with this.

That was really good time play with these great toys, the Tonka trucks were very sturdy, beautiful and durable, it will last at least another 50 years. 👍👍🎉😄

I remember wanting one of these when I was a kid for Christmas. It never happened. I may check ebay for one. Great restoration.

I was given the ordinary tipper brown version, like this one, in the 50’s as a Christmas present. I still have it in mint condition and boxed. Even the hydraulic tipper mechanisms are all in perfect working order. I stay in Scotland and to get a American toy was something different.

I love the color of the finished truck and the toy men at the end! Just became a subscriber. I have watched many restoration channels and yours is by far the best. You show every step of the process without over showing (like we don’t really need more than 15 seconds showing sand blasting to figure out that you were able to get the paint off all the parts). Looking forward to watching more of your work!

Those basement tiles are asbestos. I have the same ones in my basement workshop. :) I'm glad Tow Mater made it into the video.

I had one of these when I was a kid. Had a lot of fun with it. The one I had also came with 2 snow plows and a snow plow hitch. They must have offered 2 versions of this truck. One with and one without the snow plows. Also the snow plows would mount up on other Tonka trucks from that time. Thanks for the video.

Thank you for your response, Appreciated. I also received 1 year later a Red Tonka Sportsman Truck and Boat trailer. Again I still have then in mint boxed condition. I am now over 75 and they are just kept in a cupboard, No room to display them. Pity really.

I used Hi-temp Lab Metal from ALVIN, they have two kind of compound, I think another one is okay, more cheaper
