Wow the developers of NFS Porsche 2000 really nailed the in-car sounds! It sounds exactly as it does in that game!

Nothing like driving a classic in the Fall season 😎 🍂
Man, I miss New England falls. It all looks so pretty, and even better behind the wheel of such a gorgeous classic Porsche.
As someone who lives nearby, its very pleasant to see a youtuber driving nice cars in familiar surroundings. Its harder to connect to a video of someone on a track/ curvy mountain roads vs roads that I take and know well.

Stunning, gorgeous .... simply fantastic. Especially since it is NOT an extremely over-restored example.
Love it mate
Modern cars all look the same. This is something different! The styling is just awesome!
First Porsche were Beetles with a serious diet....🤣🤣🤣 Good video I love the 356 family!!
I about fell asleep. Very peaceful...
Oh man... I like your videos, but, I LOVE how u drive these old cars. Always, such precision and delicasy. You must be one of the best, if not the best youtuber which understand how to treat these mechanical beings. Shame I can give only one like.
Nice!
I rented a '61 Beetle recently and have been lusting over 356s ever since. There is something magical to the lightweight rear engine design.
As an 18yo who's never seen that kind of car in the streets, I literally dream about driving one, especially during Fall season... Thanks for sharing us that kind of content !

Find an old Chevy Corvair-- maybe even a convertible version. Similar car. Air-cooled flat-six out back driving the rear wheels, just like a Porsche! I got mine for only $2000 (but a few thousand more in parts and repairs).

@@tacticalidiot175 NO. I've seen even cheaper ones. A restored one ranges from $15k to $70k (there are many versions and sub-models). They're cheap to buy and cheap(ish) to work on. I've only spent about $1k on mine so far, but I'm planning to drop around $1k more. Grand total: $4k for a six-seater sedan that gets over 22 mpg. Not bad lol.
Iconic absolutely beautiful
Man that’s one of my dream cars!

Amazing car!!

Piece of art driving on the road 🔥🔥

I saw a 356 hardtop the other day, oh it looked so pretty! And that sound, god
what a beautiful machine
Fantastic! This is the car my 1957 Beetle has always wanted to be when it grows up. Would love to find a red one some day!
Nice video! You need to drive a Karmann Ghia too!

Thanks a lot for taking me with you in my all time favorit car! Really great! I recommend driving an Alfa Romeo Giulia Super, if there is one available. Also a great sports sedan from Italy, I once have driven. Kind regards from Germany ✌🏻🙂

Those Alfa's are great. If you dont buy a coupe they are great value for money, although missing out for a bit on the looks.
I drive HW1 all the time. All you need is something fun to drive a 45mph.
people used to swap the 1835cc motors in them. lve seen one that was an 1835 fuel injected as well.
Almost bought one in the 90's for $12K CAD. My "knowledgeable" friend told me it would take another $15K just to get it decent condition.
very cool car idk but the bodyframe reminds me of hermes in gta vice city
Oh wow! It being not perfect makes it even better I think.

Nice...
Dude, how are you driving that car this late into November without seeing snow?! Totally jealous.
Bellissima....
With you doing all these roadsters, I wanna see you do a cobra soon hahah
If you want to drive down to CT to do a video with a 996 X51 C4 Cab that's a bit tatty but still a blast, let me know. Currently on winter wheels with hard top on though
Where was this filmed? Looks like a beautiful place!

To squeeze out 75 hp of 1600 cc air cooled was a big deal in 1950s indeed, I've also noticed how low the steering ratio is which means very little play and at 1700 lbs it weighs less than an F1 car by today standards.
This car reminds me of the Porsche song by Nelly!
this is a real porsche not like those modern overrengineered junk
I clearly recall when you could buy a 356 for $10K, or less! Unfortunately, at the time, for me, that was impossible. I also found a running, early 1950s aluminum 356, in running order, for $800! Again, I failed, as my Dad wouldn’t let me buy it.
👍
OK, the speedo is on the right of the tach so it's a late '57. The teardrop taillights are correct. (The beehive taillights were early '57 and earlier). The tach is redlined at 4,500, and the trim on the rear says 1600 Super. The rear trim is incorrect, or the tach is incorrect. The Normal engine redlined at 4,500, and the Super engine at 5,000. The Zenith carbs and linkage are incorrect. A '57 Normal should have Solex 32PBIC carbs and a '57 Super should have Solex 40PBIC carbs. The Zenith 32NDIX carbs came out in '58. One thing that's correct for the year... the 'pin style' tonneau cover snaps on the door and across the dash are correct. The Speedsters were geared B, B, A, B, with a 7:31 ring and pinion. The coupes were geared B, B, B, D. It's hard to tell without driving it, but it sounded like Coupe gearing. The 2nd to 3rd RPM drop shouldn't have been as great. OK... that's enough for now. Lot's of things you need to upgrade, but all-in-all, congratulations on the car. I wish I still had my two Speedsters!!!
Throw some dual carbs, ported heads, and a cam in a 1600cc dual port in a Beetle and you got the same thing lol
Hey tedward, are we losing oil reserves and switching to EVs? what do you think about the future like 20 years from now

This is such a nice car. I have to be honest though, unless you’re a real collector or historian I think I’d rather a triumph or MGB for 1/10th the money. Don’t get me wrong, these are sweet and I’m a big Porsche fan but the drive feeling isn’t exclusive to that price point thankfully.
It would be nice if it was a five speed with about 100 horse
какая красавица.. я на такой могу прокатиться только в нфс :(
damn im 20 minutes late
At $300k I would say that some people are really hung up on the fetish of ownership. For the same money, or a lot less, I'd buy a NEW Porsche, and a VW Beetle convertible for those days when I feel like having driving nostalgia, with almost the same feeling.
The prices on these are rising so high that future owners will be too scared to drive them. The poor car will just sit in the garage until the next owner buys it, and just let’s it in the garage to look pretty.

Dealers are ending service for gasoline cars everywhere, ten years from now your 2010 Porsche will be just a garage decor.

I feel for the people who can't enjoy anything but the newest / latest cars. The horse power / performance race, is unusable on open road. Sometime, the latest performance is even unusable in our older tracks that were never engineered for such high performance car.
Tedward, my favorite 356 was that original unrestored 1956 car that you drove a year or two ago. Any older car is a time capsule. That is what fascinates me. This 356 was probably the state of the art in 1957 and the antithesis of the V8 Detroit boat. I can chip in $20, want to go in this car? /s
