Its werid because when i think back to the 1950's i subconciously think of everything in black and white or really dull colors from what i have seen on TV, sometimes i forget that the world was just as colorful and vibrant as it is now, its nice to see these old trucks today in HD, Thanks for the vid.

I remember my first ride in my uncles 1957 Kenworth. It had a 270 Cummings and triple sticks. It was so awesome riding on the haul roads with shear drop-offs while he had one arm through the stearing wheel while he was down shifting. And the jake doing its thing at the same time. That was one bad ass logging truck. Regards from Ody Slim

Was it a 15 speed triplex with a 2 speed or a 10 speed duplex with a 3 speed for the 3rd stick? I can’t seem to find any videos of people legitimately driving a 3 stick truck where the third stick isn’t something like 4 wheel drive low and high or something. There is an “18 speed 3 stick” video floating around but someone took a modern 18 speed and put the splitter air switch and range selector air switch on aftermarket sticks and that doesn’t exactly count. Or was it something different like a 4 + 3 hooked to a second 3 speed? I asked because Mack had a couple 10 speed duplex transmissions like the TRD-72 paired up with the 8031C or 8035G 3 speed brownie. I just can’t find videos of anybody driving one. Not that and not something really crazy like TRQ720+8031C providing 59 different ratios of which you might only use 17 of them if you’re not heavy and maybe 24 tops if you’re overweight.

Im sorry. It was a 1957. Got my numbers mixed up. I was to young to know what trans. It was an 18 speed triplex. Thats all I know. I have pictures if anyone wants to see them. It was streched out to make room for a log loader. @@dustinfurness2155

You really know your tranny's. Its funny you mentioned Mack. I worked for Mack for 30 years at the Baltimore parts Distrubution center. I was lucky enough to get up to the test center in PA to bring back the first CH model ever made. Also got to drive a lot of experimental trucks to include the first 500. It was bad ass. It could go over Dans Mountain overloaded without even downshifting. @@dustinfurness2155

I thought this channel was amazing before, but this channel gets better and better every episode! Seeing these old trucks reminds me of playing in my great grandfathers old White WCs and Autocars when I was a kid. Those giant steering wheels. I didn't grow up around any old Mack's (my great grandfather didn't like them too much lol) but I love how they look and sound. Can't wait to watch more of your videos. Love how that old Peterbilt 351 with the 6-71 sounded. Gotta love a Detroit, screaming like a demon, and an old Mack barking like a bitch. Someday your gonna have to find some old Brockways and some old Whites lol

O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸Another truck come to life! WOW! So, is this For Sale? I bet it was fun to drive, even with the WOBBLY wheels! I could see you bouncing quite a bit, but driving this old truck was worth it! Even getting behind that big steering wheel is a thrill! Looks like it wasn’t in too bad of shape either. Good stuff! It reminds when I was 14 & was looking at an old B model Mack for my FIRST truck! It had sat for years & the guy got very rude with me, so I walked away from it! I had cash in hand & was ready to drive it to my uncle’s house. Probably glad I didn’t buy it. Thanks for sharing! 🥰🤩✌️

673 with a turbo was 250 HP factory., Pretty good for the time. Next you need to find a Mack BCR Kit. In the late 60;s and early 70's Mack made the BCR. It was an R Model cab and hood designed to bolt on a B model Chassis. Used the B model steering box, and had a clutch pedal that went down through the floor (very early R did too from 66-68). They were pretty easy to spot if you knew what to look for like the B steering box and The B fuel tank mounting

endt 673 These are great little engines made for the twin stick transmissions. I drove a 1964B 81 tandem dump truck during the blizzard of 1996 here in New Jersey. It had the 18 speed quad box and the 250 Mack engine. I would drive that B 81 dump truck every day over any new truck.

@@eddieweigel9490 Steve up at HighPoint Garage in Union City ran some of those B-81 dumps up till almost 2010. NJ had a "Constructor" Tag that allowed you to gross out 70,000 on a ten wheeler, but limited you to I think it was 45 MPH. NYC had an even bigger yeaarly permit that allowed you to gross 100,000 on a ten wheeler. Lots of those trucks ran 24" tube type tires, 65,000 rears and a 18,000 steering axle.

Straight pipes underneath have this natural reverb because the sound bounces off anything close by and echoes around the truck. Sheer eargasm LOL. Love your channel.
