1956 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 Two Door Hardtop: A Nostalgic Classic @RustyDuckGarage Hello I traded for this 1956 Olds Rocket 88 equipped with a 455 Oldsmobile engine and Holley Sniper Fuel Injection.
The Oldsmobile 88 has always been a trendsetter. Of course, the OHV Rocket V8 engine was just the beginning, but it launched a performance revolution that we're still enjoying today. Even by the mid-50s, Oldsmobile was delivering big performance with a healthy dose of luxury to match, creating a unique niche in the GM hierarchy. If you wanted a car that could run with the big Pontiacs, yet offered the luxury of a Buick or Cadillac, the 88 was the smart choice. This car restored in Red and Black is just awesome. My Grandson, my Dad and I travel into McMinnville in the Rocket 88 and drive around the Evergreen Aviation Air Museum. Home to Howard Hughes Spruce Goose Airplane. Hope you enjoy todays video. Thank you for sharing this with us. How appropriate a Rocket 🚀 visiting the "Spruce Goose." Thank you again, my '98 is green and white, the interior was like being in a movie theater, brocade upholstery and courteous lighting. They definitely had power.

I always get anxious watching classics like this being driven along the road. Last year my friend in the UK had his Daimler SP250 Dart written of by a truck crashing in it. Couldn't be saved, a piece of automobile history gone for ever, unique looking car, such a shame. (youtube and you'll see what I mean). Be careful with your piece of history.

Not sure I remember. 235/75R15 if I remember correctly. Car has been sold.
