Right on...Glad You liked it!
I'm only 15.. but my dream is to build a '55 F100 street rod, keeping the original fenders, flares etc. but v8, manual, and bagged. Life goals. And your videos are inspiring me to want it even more
Sleak and Smooth as silk. That is one beautiful truck, inside and out. It looks like it just popped out of a mold, but if he still owns it, I think it's time for a coyote to replace that old 350 or at least that's what I would do if I it was mine. The fit and finish is flawless. The builder should be very proud of the excellent work that was done on this beautiful truck as well as the guys that did the interior.

lol..I didn't get that lucky...glad you liked it Brother!
No Problem Brother!
SWEET!
Mike. That's the great thing about cars/trucks. You can do it whatever way you like. You think it's bad with the small block chevy, just wait. The LS series engine will replace the SB chevy in modified cars. Has already started. Just look @ all the car magazines. Bottom line, as long as YOUR car is what you want it to be, that's really all that counts. Brand loyalty is like cheap gas....long gone.
Very nice

NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!THANKU

lol..I'm with ya...I think they should match to...
I agree 100% with you! I'd rather see someone take the time and ingenuity to use the original engine and do something cool with it instead of cheaping out and taking the easy way out by dropping in a SBC! I'm a big Mopar guy and I've been wanting to get a new Mopar project car to build and I'm thinking about using a 225 Slant Six and possibly try to turbocharge it! Even a new Hemi 5.7/6.1/6.4 swap would be cooler than just dropping a SBC in a Mopar or Ford! Keep them brand specific people!!! lol
Cool...I would prefer a Ford in a Ford

too clean. want to drive that really bad lol.
100% agree with you on that! If they were selling this truck and I found out it had a Chevy mill in it, I'd walk away, I know some people would buy it but not I! I know the LS is quickly becoming a popular swap and I'm OK with that as long as it's still in a GM product! I'm a Mopar fanatic and I'd be pissed to see someone replace a classic Mopar mill with a Ford or a Japanese mill!!! I know it's everyone's preference but I feel it's far better if you use a vintage engine and keep it brand loyal!
Quick question as I am a "Retro Mod" guy. I have a 47 GMC longbed and spent time modifying an 86 trans am chassis to the truck in order for the wheels to center and be correct width. The rear end was 5k in custom. Came out perfect! How do you feel about the mustang front ends. I think "stance" front and rear and height are important to the truck. Retro Mod, Custom, and Street all have a different fan base. Maybe your fan base would like a video on the differences. Thanks Scottie!
Oh Birmingham is the winner for sure...Chattanooga is a good show though
The 56 Ford F-100 is the best. Not because I had one either.
Very nice Ford truck I love how so many of these Fords have Chevy motors in them now. I must say that's a great looking Red paint job and generally I don't like red cars.
a qui en venezuela como hay carro de eso y son poco lo que le dan el valor que se merecen son una reliquia
A lot of attention was put into that strikingly beautiful red pickup. You must have went from the AMX to the pickup...how handy was that? Anyway, thanks for another great video, Scottie.
chevy 350 nice smart guy

00:30 What's Santa doing in Chattanooga, TN?
When i was in high school i bought a 40 olds coupe, it had a 292 ford, 2 barrell in it, single exhaust, glasspack muffler, it sounded good, went pretty well, but WHAT were they thinking putting a ford engine in an olds? I must agree, keep it ford all the way, but a very awesome truck anyhow!

David Hatchel I hear ya....Glad you enjoyed this one!
I've been a GM fan since I was a little boy playing with Hot Wheels (I'm 36 now) I've had a lot of GM muscle over the years, I'm just tired of seeing that engine in everything, just because it's the cheaper way to go, I know they are reliable! I also love old vintage GM engines like 348/409 Chevy, Buick Nailhead, 455 Olds/Pontiac, etc. but I think they need to keep it brand loyal as much as possible! You don't wanna see a Ford 5.0 302 or Mopar 440 Six-Pack swapped into a Chevy Camaro, right? lol
That suck...I miss several
quiero una asi
Honestly a Hemi or a 440 in a camaro would be cool. Maybe not at 5.0 only because the LS1 makes so much more power right out of the box. An engine is an engine- the name really doesn't mean much to me. It's about power.
The 350 is much more reliable and powerful. They are bulletproof. My Camaro makes 470 at the wheels with no boost
Argh!!! A Chevy mill in a Ford!!! Oh well at least it's supercharged! Honestly, it's not really all that much cheaper and easier to put a Ford 5.0 302 with EFI and 5 speed from a wrecked donor Fox-body Mustang GT in it! Sometimes you can get the engine, EFI, wiring harness and sensors and transmission cheaper than you can buy a new small block Chevy crate motor! Other than the motor I absolutely love the rest of the truck though! =D
Dammit man...this pick-em-up says Ford on top...why in the HELL would you put GM in one of Henrys finest? But I digress...she's still one badass truck....

Thanks.
I personally love the 455 Buick, but I agree with you. Tired of seeing SBC's everywhere, and even more tired of seeing them in trucks that have Ford emblazoned all over them. The design philosophies are completely different and it just makes me sad seeing the two being mixed. It screams of just 'cheaping' out and just doing the Hot Rod thing because you are bored, or because it's the cool thing to do rather than actually having a passion for it. Also tired of seeing dropped and bagged trucks.
if you remember me you know what i'm about to say about this truck. WHY the hell would anyone put this kind of time and money and make a truck this perfect and then put the wrong engine in it. ford on ford chevy on chevy dodge on dodge NO EXCEPTIONS

I say just be thankful he put American iron under the hood. What if he would have put foreign iron in it ? That would be something to bitch about !
lol..
lol
if you wanted a chevy build a chevy haha supercharged and still only about 400 hp and the v6 mustang makes about 305 these days.
Just not right with a chevy motor it should be Ford all the way.
@ScottieDTV
3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't argue that...Still a cool truck...
It's not about brand loyalty, it's about keeping the soul of the thing the same. Ford's design philosophy is not the same as Chevy's design philosophy, and the two do not really mix that well. Chevy is about being generic and having that common design points across all models. Ford is and always has been about improving engineering and pushing forward with innovation, and it shows with their engine designs and the look of the truck. The two should not be mixed.
Again I know it's all up to the owner but if your not a ford person don't buy a ford!
