Nice work!! A little ingenuity and you made it work. It always make you feel good when you can modify something and it works like you wanted.

Amazing work… 👍 I wonder if this would work on the 55 Oldsmobile since they share similarities. Thank you for documenting this.

I am glad you fixed those issues. It was so annoying to drive it like that. Just exhausting and I pulled my shoulder muscle. Thanks for bringing the mower over and mowing. You are the best.

A good upgrade. Even tough men like power steering. Besides, a future girlfriend will likely appreciate it.

Nice video, need to fit power steering to my 55 Special, so this will be of great help. Just need to source the steering box, but being in the UK not exactly easy to come by, the search begins.

Dang. It's gotta be hard living where you can't have things easily shipped to you. If you have any junkyards in UK you might be able to find one there

Overall that's really good craftsmanship. I never expect machine welds when I'm working in a vice, etc. By the way just my opinion but the OG looking wheel covers are better! 👍👍

Hey, I got a 56 buick century with a leaking steering gearbox. There is a place here in MN that will rebuild at a cost of close to 600.00 Thanks for giving me a idea of another option to possibly try.

Yikes 600 that is crazy. I've driven the car quite a bit since putting it together . Still works great. It is quite a bit of work getting it all put together , mostly fabbing up the brackets but it has definitely been worth it

When you did your LS swap what rear end did you use ? And type arms ? If you don’t mind Thanks

I used a 1991 Camaro 10 bolt rear end and the factory Camaro lower arms and built my own top arms and used the factory 56 Buick coil springs with a spring perch welded to the top of Camaro axle. Not the best setup to be honest. Doesn't ride the best. I plan on completely redoing it. If you are doing this I would recommend buying a 4 link kit off ebay and running coil overs from qa1. That's probably what I'll do

What year Jeep steering box? I have a 1955 buick that I would like to do the conversion on, decided to try a spare pitman arm on my -96 XJ, but that dont match at all. 😮 could it be that 55 and 56 buick is different 🤔
