THIS CAR IS A REAL BEAUTY

I just had a 1954 Buick delivered today. Picked it up from my Grandpa’s estate. It’s in great condition but has been sitting for 35+ years. Excited to get started on it!!

my grandfather always had Buicks this was a stunner, same year I was born so it is very special to me

Thanks so much for this video. I've been waiting and searching for a video on '54 Buick Specials. My Dad had a 4-door, white over maroon. That was the first car I was aware of growing up. I remember sitting in his lap, steering down our street while he worked the pedals. This video brings back so many good memories. It all looks so familiar

I owned the same exact car for 9 years from 1974 - 1983...except mine had the larger 322 cu. in nailhead. I loved that car.

Always loved 54 - 56 Buicks. Superb styling, great performance, great quality, (most of the time). They sold in record numbers.

Michael, my favorite year for Buicks was 1955. My preference was the Super model.

Great colors...

New body styles on Olds and Buick introduced in 1954. 55 models would see the intro of the 4 door hardtop on these two models. All GM cars would have variations of the style for 1955.

I bought a 1954 white Buick Special convertible with red upholstery in the summer of 1958. I drove it cross-country to Texas to my first active duty assignment in the USAF. It was a pleasure to drive. However, it did not have a V8 engine - rather it had a straight 8. I had to sell this fine car in Dec 1958 because my next assignment was in Iceland where I was not permitted to ship an auto. Upon return to the states in 1960, I brought with me a brand new Austin Healey 3000 Mark 1 sports car that I had purchased in Reykjavik, Iceland. Both were great autos.

It was not a 54 then. The 54 Buick didn't have a long enough hood for a straight 8, unless your car was the result of somebody's customizing.

This is my dream car but I would want a beer bottle brown and gold color scheme or a dark beer bottle green and gold combo may be black and dark charcoal silver . But... I would also love this just as much probably.

This is the first year for the venerable nailhead V8 engine. Prior Buicks had an inline 8 cylinder engine. Every Buick from the onset had overhead valve engines.

1953 Supers ahd Roadmasters had the 322 cu in nailhead v8 engine. '54 buicks were the first year regular production cars with wrap-around windshields . Everyone else waited until '55 , or later . ( Olds and Caddy had panoramic whidshields in '54 , too.

Nice presentation and extremely well done. 54's hd 25 feet of 5/8" heater hose, not 50. Anyway, very nice car.

Can anyone see what's absent or missing on this nice vehicle ? He should have pointed it out to us during his visual demo. HINT: It was a common item found on every automobile which sported an AM radio. ANSWER: He failed to mention the vacancy of the exterior radio antenna in which he glossed over with no explanation. See 9:25 .

Why dont they make a modernised version of this car now?
