    At first, I never believed that this car was a 1952 model and that's because it had the 1956 front end to the car. But once I did some research on this car, I was honestly surprised. It really is a 1952 model Chrysler Imperial Parade Car! Very beautiful car though!

    I've never driven a boat, but apparently they feel like most of the American cars I've ever owned, from my 1958 desoto, to my 2003 crown vic. I gotta see what this boat driving thing is all about one of these days when I'm near the ocean.

  • @mesutter
    @mesutter9 жыл бұрын

    Both the '55 and '56 Chryslers and Imperials had two-speed Torqueflight transmissions, the '55 had the shift lever on the dash, the '56 had a pushbutton shift mechanism. The '55s had 6 volt electrical systems with the power steering pump driven off the generator as in this parade car. Driving in the winter at night around town with the lights, heater, windshield wipers (electric on Chryslers) and radio would slowly drain the battery, as the generator did not produce enough amps to keep up with the draw. Ask me how I know!
