Honestly, who would not have loved trick or treating at the SewRena household growing up? I bet it's well worth the stop, if only to see such a stylish giver of treats!👻☠🎃❤🔥
This is super cute and commendable, making those appliqués are just wow 😮 such good design , I envision you in a orange sweater with that skirt and a witch hat , and girl you would be the reason for the season ok 👌 congratulations once again you really did go the extra mile and it shows 🎃👏🎃

Honestly, they need to give this gal a TV show - or maybe a segment in some show, so that it wouldn't impinge on her having enough time for her own stuff and family. Can absolutely imagine Serena as a guest for some crafty channel on TV. Oooh, or a regular guest on something like the _Today_ Show or _GMA_!
I love when you work with appliqués!! Excited already
Adorable - especially with that cute white top with the black mid-mod style star and moon symbols on it
Outstanding outfit! Beautiful! Thank you for making and sharing this lovely video!😊
What a cute project. Looks awesome.
I love how the pumpkins came out! They truly look like they are glowing! What a beautiful skirt!
You are going to be so adorable in this outfit giving out candy 🎃 Excellent job on all the pumpkins, bats and writing on the skirt 🥰
This came out so amazing!!💜 🎃🤩 The yellow highlights on the pumpkins added so much dimension! I love all the different layers on each pumpkin and the beads on the bats it made it all really pop! 🤩💜

"Now I'm just gluing down the heads of the bats" = one of those phrases I never would have predicted I would hear in _any_ context, let alone vintage and vintage-style fashion😂🦇 🦇🦇🎃
I've made a few novelty applique skirts and you're right about more people stopping you and about stories. I made one for our first wedding anniversary using leftover felt from a pennant banner I'd made for the wedding to make fall leaves, a tree, and two squirrels (we got married in October and used a squirrel S&P set as our cake topper). The others were for Halloween and Christmas. They're really just so fun to wear!

Such a cute pumpkin face!
I just adore this skirt! I think the kids trick or treating your house this year will love it. Your videos are always relaxing and I appreciate the beautiful work you do every time.
Oh my gosh: I'm crazy about it! Big gold star on your penmanship too! 😊 I bet your kids have the best costumes in town. What a treat. Happy Halloween!
Adorable and so FUN! Giving me all the Halloween feels in the middle of summer 🎃
So much hard work, but it is worth it!
Oh my goodness, this is the absolute cutest outfit for Halloween I've seen! I'd love to see one that's Christmas themed. It turned out beautifully!
Absolutely love this-every pumpkin has its own personality! You are so talented and explain so calmly. Love your videos.
God bless you and your family have a blessed thanksgiving amen

You should definitely use the free machine foot and turn off the dog feet for applique work. Embroidery hoop helps too with a backing for stability. Love the design and colours 😊
Sew fun. I actually have a pattern for a felt 1950s skirt that I made it out of curtain and the hat, they are fun to make. Great creativity. Keep inspiring.
The appliqués look really neat, I can see a retro Halloween letterman sweater working out well with this technique. Thanks for sharing! hope you have a Happy Halloween season 🎃✨
So beautiful and fun! I'm so impressed with how you attached all of these with glue and the sewing machine. I hand embroidered a spiderweb onto an apron and my arms were so sore afterwards.
Your creativity is so inspiring and entertaining. Really look forward to your videos. I've told my sewing friends about your channel and more than a few have subscribed! Just love the spooky circle skirt!
Great work keep doing more of these videos

Love that skirt❤. You seem to have a lot of patience and talent to do all that work. Gives me a couple of ideas.
Fun! My first novelty skirt was inspired by yours, not as much detail but still cute. Thanks for all the fun content!

Cute!
Love of my mother compels me to point out, to anyone in the comments who doesn't already know, that when SewRena says "skirts of the 1950s," she's referring more specifically to the *_late_* 1950s. My mom graduated in 1954, and one of her pet peeves is when people ( _not_ SewRena, mind you, just people in general) represent the 1950s exclusively with _late_ 1950s music and fashion. Pencil skirts were a big deal when she was in high school, for example, and those fun felt appliqué skirts weren't so much a thing until her younger sister was in school. The 1950s was just as much Perry Como, McGuire Sisters, Louis Armstrong, et al., as it was Little Richard or Ritchie Valens. Again, NOT correcting SewRena in any way, as she's absolutely right about which decade those skirts were popular; just throwing in an additional tidbit for the education of all who are interested in popular culture and vintage.

Love this. Do you have a video on how you make applique designs for Cricut (or sell SVG patterns for the ones you've made?)

Any suggestions on how to get sizing? Im a beginner, should I just buy a pattern for full circle skirt any suggestions on pattern name -brand?
🔥❤️🔥🔥
How long did this skirt take?
@SewRena

A week because of filming. It could easily be a no sew project for the appliqués since you can’t wash the skirt anyway and you would be done in a few days maybe less
does anyone know what the name on the neckline the black top she’s wearing in the thumbnail is? almost like an boatneck with a turtleneck lip?????
