I thought you might like a look at this very original 1950 Pontiac Silver Streak 8 Sedan. It's sure looking sharp with all that chrome over top of that mean looking black paint. I believe it's still powered by the original flathead 268 cubic inch Straight eight engine as well. I hope you find it interesting...thanks for checking it out!

@805ROADKING Well, I'm sure glad this one has escaped the junkyard. It's one of the better looking 4 doors that I've seen. Thanks for checking it out!
Great styling throughout car from the heavily chromed tasteful front end to the inconspicuous rear doors to the rear with those nice circular tail lights. Well styled inviting instrument panel also.
Dad had one when I was a kid. What a DAWG! The old Kaiser we had before the Pontiac was more powerful with its Continental flathead 6 and overdrive.
I love cars from the 1950's-1960's and love there bounce suspension
@GeneralGHustler I really do like all the chrome they put on this one. It's a real impressive machine for sure. Thanks for checking it out!
I drove one of these in the eighties, great time in my life
Thanks for another classic. Original battery -- and if it still works I give it a big WOW !!
I've never understood why these old Pontiacs don't command the money of a Chevy. Great car, thanks for posting!
That is a nicely polished rough car! The front seat was a slip over seat cover, the give away is the view in the rear door, the ashtray and passenger assist handle across the back of the front seat were visible as bumps under the seat slip cover. Plus a bungee cord holding in the battery! Plus a flat tire on the vehicle next to it! What a shoddy place!
great car thanks you show the car really well.. i like how you step back so we can see the car unlike most people.
Beautiful example here! I love it in black, very sleek. Just bought a 52 Pontiac Chieftain for $9,000, she’s complete but in rough unrestored shape. Original Pontiac mayflower blue paint. Been fighting with the big Straight-8 under the hood, it runs but I can’t get it just right. It’s in need of a rebuild but it will be great. Thanks for the video
Beautiful classic car!
Absolutely Stunning inside and outside best Wishes from the UK
@hep2jive I haven't always been good about getting the whole car in there either. I've been trying to do a better job of it lately. It can be hard in some of these places because they are so jam packed with cars. Thanks for watching!
@shartne They are a great choice to collect, they're nice looking cars. I actually did painting of one once too. Thanks for watching!
@samspace81 I agree completely...they are great looking cars. Thanks for taking a look Sam.
keep the car videos coming, i have watched nearly all of them. Awesome movies and great looking cars and trucks
Nice look at the Pontiac. What a cool ride.
Beautiful and Very Presentable
One obvious mistake: This Pontiac is not an automatic. I saw a clutch pedal and a manual gearshift on the column in this video.
My grandfather had a black 1950 Silver Streak, but it was 2 door and had a straight six flat head.
Nice job! The paint and chrome are beautiful Seatcovers must have benn the thing. I took off the original plaid seatcovers that revealed gray pinstipe, I think it was mohair, but not sure. very comfortable bench seat.
@azzarbprime1 It really is impressive with all that chrome. It has kind of a stately look to it. Thanks for checking it out, Mike. Hope you have a great weekend as well!
Gonna come to your showroom and buy an old car. I like how you show the prices
@FatGuyWithAKatana Definitely the nicest 4 door that I've seen in a while. Thanks for taking a look!
@talfacprez I really like finding them in mostly original condition like this one. Thanks for checking it out!
Just super! Was hoping u were going to fire it up...Also Ive never seen seat covers like that before, very retro indeed!
Sharp lookin' car!! I like the styling on it, the hood chrome and ornament is really cool!! I recently seen a few of them in the junkyard!!☺
Awesome car. Kind of strange how Buick had overhead valve I8's, Olds had ohv V8's, and Pontiac was rocking a flatty I8. Just goes to show you how different they really were before 1978.
@oldtime40s It's definitely a beauty....thanks for checking it out!
@PonyPower71 I agree, today's cars are really no comparison at all. The chrome is really amazing on this car. Thanks for taking a look at it!
@hunhun23 It really is a beauty. Thanks for taking a look! Have a great weekend Maria!
@fastdrive55 Thanks for checking it out!
@dickylobster Thanks for having a look. She really is a beauty.
@msteele323 I agree...thanks for watching, Michael.
I could easily spend days just walking around looking.
Great car. Reminds me about my 49 Olds.
@koioo2 Glad you liked it my friend...thanks for watching!
I had the 51 in light green! Identical!
@ONWSCCO They sure don't build them like that anymore. I really like all the chrome on this one. Thanks for watching. Hope you have a great weekend!
sweet looking car!
Absolutly beautyfull and awsome car i lov the straight 8 motor Nice sounds like 🏁 racecar or motertorpedo boat thanks jeff
@machone7I I'll try to check it out the next time I'm up there. Thanks for watching!
I'm in love
@gregmporter Thanks for taking a look Greg!
My Father Had One Just Like This One It Was Cool
@elbacooks4u Thanks for taking a look at it!
Nice! I have a 49 convertible straight 6 all original
@SuperLou63 Glad you like it......thanks for watching!
@cheddyrod I'm not sure why it says automatic....definitely looked like a 3spd on the tree. Thanks for checking it out!

It's definitely not an automatic. No shifter indicator and there is a clutch pedal.
@emma4639702 They definitely are great looking cars. Thanks for taking a look at this one!
@bisquik3006 You're right, it wasn't like the later days when they would slap on a different grill and call it different brand. I think this old Pontiac is a great looking car..especially for a 4 door.
It is not an automatic transmission car, it is a manual/stick shift transmission car. At 2:06 and for a few seconds thereafter you can clearly see a clutch pedal, brake pedal, and accelerator/throttle pedal.
OK, so 9 years ago, but I have never seen a Hydramatic with a clutch pedal before!
@juicedmonkey1111 Thanks for watching, I appreciate the support!
those are from the era when general motors used to make a quality product not like the junk they make today

It was literally 70 years ago dont fucking act like you remember it lmao
A super car! What happened to the rear fender skirts though? Full skirts were a part of this car.
@richardarichter123 I haven't been up to Volo yet, but I heard they have a pretty amazing collection. This car is in Staunton IL, which is in Macoupin County here in Southern IL..maybe 35 miles from St. Louis.
@errick51 Thanks for watching!
my Uncle had one forever, had the visor and the Stoplight crystal on the dash.

I've got a 1950 Chieftain, Siiver Streak with flat head straight 8. It's a 4 door sedan, all original with visor and rear skirts. It's a really beautiful car. It's got 44,221 original miles.
I wonder, having superhighways today vs the slower roads of yesteryear - could this car maintain a 55 mph speed for say 4 to 6 hours?
@RamblinAround And for me that Blazers too :)
@JOHNINCOLUMBUS I guess that could be a possibility...I didn't look that closely.
Where is the other battery connection? Will it run if you find it?
I had a 51 back in my younger years. There really isn’t a lot of difference in the style. Mine was a Chieftain straight six with a 3 speed on the column.
Could you do a video on that mercury-ish white car near the pontiac?
We had a Bronze color one from 50 to 55.
Anyone notice that it’s listed as an "automatic" but it has a clutch pedal and a manual shifter? I drove an automatic 1950 Pontiac for years, and it had a shift indicator above the steering shaft. This one doesn’t, so it is either has an after-market auto transmission or is really a 3-speed manual.

If the transy is an after-market auto, the clutch pedal would have been removed.
a buddy of mine has one of these. but in desperate need of restoring.
My cousins they are brothers collect those. none of theirs are fixed up though.
sei onde tem um asim deste modelo
En aviso de venta pegado al parabrisas dice que este auto es automático. Al ver el video se observa claramente que es de cambio mecánico, tres cambios al volante.
It looks like it might have had fender skirts at one time.
Wooow
Four Doors look the coolest.
I see a clutch pedal, I wonder why they wrote automatic on the window.
Este carro.pontiac 1950. Tem em loja de carros antigos de São paulo
Last like these did.
Not an automatic with a clutch pedal.
No doubt about it they made REAL CARS back in the day today we are getting SCAMMED
Such a shame chrome has been replaced by plastic. Today's junk sure won't
First car was a 1951
I don't think it has enuff chrome. Ha ha
