The eye shadows are full size and when you are finished using the Mac containers you can return them empty to the Mac store and for every 5 you get a free eye shadow or lip stick of your choice. so when you are done with all of these products you can get more!

Also, in my experience, it's worthwhile asking a MAC store person to show you how to use the 'weird' shades. I've been using MAC makeup almost exclusively for 20+ years now and I'm still impressed by how the clerks there can take some seemingly random combo of weird colours and give you a look that you'd never have thought of, but is totally perfect for you.

Although I will say she had more full size products than most advent calendars. The eyeshadows and pigments are all full sizes. I believe the lip glasses are also all full size the only "samples" not including the minis were like 4 items. The minis are roughly the cost of the 8.62 is cause I think those are a 9 dollar purchase.

Kristen no the lipglass was mini sized, the only full sized items were the eye shadows and MAYBE the pigments but I could have sworn even the pigments came in much larger sizes. The whole point of surprise type boxes (mystery boxes, advent calendars, etc) is to get a great value. Basically you get way more bang for your buck since your agreeing to go in blind and trust the company to give you good stuff, and for that trust they reward you with a good value. Apparently Mac never got the message because the value here looks terrible. I wouldn’t pay $8.61 for a single one of those items, even if the item is technically worth that much if you wouldn’t pay that much for that item then to you it isn’t a good value you know?

New challenge: take a shot every time she says: “this might be a full size I don’t know”

Honestly the colors they picked all looked like items that didn't sell throughout the year. Ipsy gave away the strobe cream and lip glass before. I think advent calendars are basically overpriced samples.

That's such a great idea!

The reflective tint on your eye glasses make it look like your wearing a shifty purple eyeshadow and make your eyes look "To die for". 😍😍😍

So pros - there's a lot of cult shades and products in there. Cons - if you're going to spend $195 dollars you're likely already a fan of Mac and own a lot of their products so you probs have all of these cult shades and products. Conclusion - don't bother.

I am obsessed with the MAC lip prep and prime. It's the best lip primer out there (I've tried TOO many). They are for smoothing your lips and moisturizing them before applying matte lipsticks, and helps matte lipsticks last longer and look prettier 🤩

Basically you get way more bang for your buck since your agreeing to go in blind and trust the company to give you good stuff, and for that trust they reward you with a good value. Apparently Mac never got the message because the value here looks terrible. I wouldn’t pay $8.61 for a single one of those items, even if the item is technically worth that much if you wouldn’t pay that much for that item then to you it isn’t a good value you know? And even if they are giving you a &195 dollar value in items that’s not how a mystery type product should work. Usually with a mystery type product you atleast double your value. So if you buy a $100 Mystery type item you should get $200 in value. This is all wrong, what the hell Mac?

Those eye shadows sell for $17-19 each so that's something!

Explicit is really pretty over brownish colors and deeper reds. It shows up more like a (barely) taupe/nude color on the lips, and it has some cool blueish reflects. Its suprisingly pretty and subtle.

That’s the first thing that came to my mind too! I got that stuff before surgery when I was 8.

Even though I feel that some of the choices were terrible, it would have been semi okay I guess...BUT A KEYCHAIN?!?!!! Lmaoooo NO. Absolutely not. And to make it the last day is just an extra slap in the face honestly. Lol.

that lip primer is awesomeee i use it all the time and it really softens your lip so the lipstick can go on smoothe and the lipstick or gloss staysb longer

Oh if you only knew then that you’d actually spend $1,500 2 years later, on a calendar full of stickers. Chanel No 5. will forever haunt me.
