These WW2 and early cold war vids are the absolute best. Totally nail-biting and action packed. Love it! Thanks GRs!
"is it in England or France?" God I love GR 😂. Nothing hits the boomboom bone and the funny bone the way GR chaps do.
The ww2 missions are far more exciting than the modern stuff. In my humble opinion that is.

It’s kinda the reality when you do it yourself. I love the warbirds. You are putting your effort into flying the planes and the tactics of dogfighting rather than programming a computer to drop bombs, firing fire and forget missiles etc. Cold War and ww2 are my favorite aspects of dcs

That FOX 4 in the beginning was freakin gorgeous! 🤩😱
Good fun and shout out to Simba, some great flying there! I think the 'unlimited re-spawns' for reds was a major problem, maybe just tweak it so they re-spawn at least 30 miles away (inland) from the target would have given you a better chance? Damn good effort though. Pax

Just like riding a bike: you keep falling off it even after decades of experience.
Cap goes down in a Blaze of Glory...
Please do more of these. So much more action rather than who's quickest with missile lock and relying on technology.

agree
The Spits were getting FAR too close to their target. Spit guns are ranged for target at 300yds which is where the guns converge. Close in they are ineffective, the rounds go either side of the target. The 109's guns are in the nose so don't have the same issue, they can fire from really close.
Trivia. In BC Canada we know Dungeness! In BC and the Pacific North west US there is a very tasty crab called the Dungeness crab. Captain Vancouver named a spit in the olympic peninsula Dungeness Spit after Dungeness point in England. This where the crab got it's name.
The historical missions are always good. Nice to get a wee history lesson too
A bit on the cruel side, Don't make me send Churchill a letter of reprimand! Squadron Leader.
Rhubarb: small-scale freelance fighter sorties against ground targets of opportunity.
Loved the video @Grim Reapers! Wonderful Flying by Simba in his Spitfire, worthy of a Commission to the Rank of Flight Lieutenant at least if I do say so myself. Cap, well let's face it, you're basically a Group Captain with the Fact that you're always taking charge of the Situation. Would love to see some World War Two Missions from the Ground Perspective or Maybe some Commerce Interdiction at Ports like Dunkirk, Le Harve or Cherbourg at some point in the future man!
Action packed mission boys, fun vid, thanks Cap.
Enjoy these WWII vids Cap. Well done all.
Really needed the 633 Squadron music playing

Those 109's were brutal. I'm not sure why you didn't have the fighter cover higher. Surely it would have helped? It was exciting regardless. A special mention for Simba for tying up the Germans for so long.

The K4 has an amazing climb rate, so we used the altitude on the first engagement at the coast, then kept it on the deck inland and just boomed and zoomed.

It closed in 2018 and is now in the process of being decommissioned. It’s a fascinating area, beautiful and eerie. It’s often used for fashion photoshoots and films etc Derek Jarman the film director and gay icon used to live there too. It also has a lovely steam railway and is well worth a visit.
So , got dcs , joystick and throttle controls just need an invite from grim reapers followed by a very patient flying instructor with sense of humour , pretty please

Why not use fuel tanks on the spits? Also the optimal engine setting for absolute max range is 1700RPM !and Minus 4 boost. However in DCS that breaks the engine. You can also try 2000 RPM and 0 boost.

Nice kill on the 190, before St Omaire?
I'd like to see a reenactment mission of the Ploesti oil field raid.
What flashed by in war thunder in the loading screen was that the allies didn't believe the zero plane had the massive range it did have. because I think even 500 miles there and back was a lot back then when with drop tanks some of them were only 800 miles. what was the zero like 1200 or more miles. Have you guys done pby missions in dcs? They had long ass range and there were units of them run by Americans in pacific because they could reach places no other planes could. They had quite a few units and found a you tube doc about them and they had I don't remember a few dozen groups that would have flown quite a few sorties in other words attack/bomber pby groups.
Are those Mosquitos nerfed on DCS? It should be able to show a 109 a clean pair of heels.
What happened to you guys playing stirmovik ?
