The battles occurred between the elements of the Red Army's Southwestern Front defending the Southern Bug bridges and the strategic rail road between Odessa and Smolensk, and elements of Panzergruppe 1, during the latter's advance from southern Poland to Crimea.
This was among the large Axis encirclements that were executed against the Red Army in the opening months of Operation Barbarossa.

As relatively rare as it is, it's really nice to see air battles in stop motion. Good work, man!
The mini city you made to be seen from above in the bomber scenes is one of my favourite little things in this. I also love how you damage the bricks on each hit. Such an incredible animation.
Looks like an amazing stop motion

Unbelievably good work, the plane dogfights are spectacular, and there is even more tension than ever before. This is the best video you have ever done, at least that is what I think, and your old vids, and now this, are still pretty much the best lego stop-motion videos on the whole platform. Nice job!

i like the scene when the germans and soviets are passing each other on the train
Everything was amazing about this film, but the aerial scene I found most impressive. I imagine they must have been hard, and the occasional humor, especially near the end was a great touch. Keep it up Brictator
The scale and cinematography of this is epic, and is one of the few Lego dogfights that looks convincing. In fact the dogfight looks better than Star Wars.

Incredibly well put together video, glad to see you hadn’t given up on making stop motions. I also love seeing some of your newer models see some action, the old planes you used were nice, but the newer brick mania planes with the custom printing and such are even cooler. Also that Stuka scene was awesome.
i love that you focus on the early war period-1930s interwar designed armour has such a futuristic look to it
Now this is a certified "Return of the King" moment.

This is insane, I especially like the plane dogfights and all the close up macro shots throughout the animation. Well done.
I understand that these are the heavy battles of 1941. But damn, why don't the Germans miss and the Russians can't hit point blank? This is just stupid, it seems that the Germans did not have any losses at all.

YOOOOO LETS FRICKIN GOOOO!! My God, your stop motions are always so beautiful and smooth, and the explosions and cinematics shots are just so great
That sequence at 9:16 is terrifying! Overall just extremely well done! Most of the armored warfare shown here, I keep thinking about my unit for WWII Reenacting with some of our Sd.kfz's. Obviously no shots are actually fired in reenactments but, sometimes seeing, hearing or "feeling" a enemy armor aim and fire at you, is something I can say is very terrifying! Keep up these awsome videos!
