Fell asleep watching, not because I was bored but because the video is so relaxing.
I never grow tired of "watching" these! I love the astounding, precision restoration work. Bringing back great time pieces to perfect working order is amazing!

Wonderfull
Good thing he's got this video to show him how it goes back together.
I liked that silence! Makes me super relaxed! Thank u!
Perfection. I just love everything about it. Crystal, dial, hands, numerals, strap and buckle. Thanks for sharing.
The new dial you chose was perfect!👍 It looks stunning together with the black strap. Wonderful workmanship inside and out! 👏👏
This time piece received exactly what it deserved, a world class restoration! The owner was right to keep the original dial, and quite honestly, the new dial looks fantastic! I did miss watching the case work, as many watchmakers do not perform this to the level that you do. A very good tutorial for us, such a wonderful job you did here, thank you!

Dennis C. Thanks Dennis really appreciate it
I'm not a big watch head but each time I get to the end of your videos and see the final effect I have sort of tears in my eyes. Especially for those really old watches. It's like healing an suffering animal :) great work and congratulations for preserving those memories and unprecedented craftsmanship!
The 6-year-old's dial is fantastic! I'd seal it with some clear resin or something and wear it like that, put the original dial in a safe place. Really awesome refurb!
Adorei ver essa restauração. 👏👏👏👏👏 Trabalho minucioso, delicado, preciso, técnico. Meus parabéns! (Brasil 🇧🇷)
Glorious. The custom artwork from your son did actually look pretty cool

I'd wear it (on selected occasions)
I love these kinds of videos, and the montage at the end with canon rock playing was a very nice touch.
I have always admired the craftsmanship of a watchmaker! Poetry in motion!
What a beautiful movement and how gorgeous the hand made dial was!! Outstanding job, as always! thank you for sharing.

You sir, are a true jewel!! That’s just perfection. It makes me want a watch, and I haven’t worn one for 25 years!!!
I LOVE the original dial...I would have chose to keep it on. But the black is absolutely stunning as well. Beautiful work
Just crazy you can remember where every tiny piece goes! Your hand and tool control are ridiculously phenomenal. Taking it apart and putting it back together is incredible but the person who designed it and the people who engineered all those tiny parts blow my mind...excellent video...kudos to your skill.
Best fabulous dial I have ever seen. Things that are made from the heart are always better. Great kid

I was completely enthralled throughout the whole 27:50 time segment of this video. makes me appreciate my Omega SPEEDMASTER so much more.
And de dial your son have made is precious, you’re a very great father 😄
As a mechanical engineer, I was given good hands....hands that are, in all modesty, quite talented in a great many things...but I am in awe of you. I would never have the patience or the tenacity required to perform a restoration such as this.
I have never been so mesmerised by watching someone work on a small watch mechanism as I have with this....tiny small screws, and its almost like a jigsaw puzzle with all the pieces..

Oh then you need to see a surgeon at work. Very minute movements yet highly precise work - difference could be life or death.
I've watched a number of your videos repairing watches and they are masterful. You are an artist.

The watchmaker of all time Thanks collegaue for a nice video Job wel done
My hands are too shakey to attempt this level of work. Highly skilled technician at work here.
I wonder though how it would look like if the old dial was also restored? This is so satisfying to watch!
Wow, love the finished product!! And looks great with that band.
Amazing. I watched with bated breath. May God give you a friend of health, peace, kindness and good luck!
I love this profession with all my heart, but I do not have the tools and devices to work and repair capacities like you. Thank you, respect and appreciation for your mastery of work and an explanation of the repair 💖
A joy to watch this fantastically skilled craftsman at work, thank you for sharing.
Watchmakers & repairing - great Job and ja, it is wonderfull to take new breath in in this timless Feature ;-)

Watching a real master work is always fascinating.
Watched this again today, love the final product.
ngl the dial your son made was the best one out of the three
"And we store the original dial away for later" ..... EXCELLENT IDEA.
That Rolex live a long life inside a drawer for that reason can be the punch in the glass. Bj I love that printing Rolex made in Switzerland
WoW absolutely Amazing. Watching these videos is How I Found out my Rolex was Real.. and everyone told me it was fake.. because I found it in a Dumpster...
Sruput kopinya........mantaaaaaabbbb.......josss gandos om.....jam tangan yg sangat elegant....mewah
Lovely to watch a master craftsman working his magic. Excellent job 👍
Its fantastic idea of making like this as a watchmaker expert, perhaps more people like this thanks.
Incredible craftsmanship,what an astonishing result
Yooooo, I didn’t want to sound insulting by asking for this version of your videos, because you can be quite entertaining, but i am truly, so glad that you started this up! Thank you!
Wow. It took less than 28 minutes to restore this watch. Impressive!
My 1953 Bubble -Back was in similar condition when I got it. Runs good now. Like a Swiss watch!
very cool - your son is an artist
wow, like a heart surgeon. End result was spectacular.
That has to be immensely satisfying to see it run again after a restoration. Nice!

Gorgeous! Literally made me speechless.
That looks awesome man. I love it.
It is a beautiful work of art. Congrats on a job well done. First class!
So relaxing to watch......two big thumbs up 👍🏽 👍🏽
I dont know what’s more amazing…. The restoration OR the amount of engineering that went into these watches in the first place…. 40’s? Thats before CNC and other computer-aided machines….
Excellent, perfect content. 22:47- I'd choose that watch face over any others. Thanks!!!
I died when I saw your DIY dial. Love it.
I didn’t know that a Rolex craftsmen had a sense of humor.

Wonderful! One of my favorites...so far! Watch out for attacking beetles!
Your son's watch face was awsome ...Great channel .
Thanks for this very interesting video of a beautiful vintage Rolex. In my opinion Rolex made their best watches before 1970.
Can't think why people would dislike this vid unless they're from the "don't polish up a vintage watch" brigade.

Sometimes you have fake videos where they pretend to fix up vintage watches just for views. Probably not the case here.

Yes, true.
Silence is golden but humorous narrative commentary is better!
Tricky decision. Original dial and wrist watchers will think it’s a fossil brand watch. New dial and it looks updated but the resto is so good it looks brand new. Not sure what I’d do. Beautiful work!
That’s a beautiful watch.
I am an old coin magician who prides himself on his dexterity. Working on this watch takes years of accumulated experience not to mention incredible dexterity. I humbly take off my hat to you sir.
Incredible workmanship. Rolex in my opinion is the best.
Outstanding beautiful well done 👍💯 I like you child’s background to the watch very funny 😂 but overall outstanding.💯.
speechless... a true master at work!
Shame about the original dial, but well done for bringing that old movement back to life. I’m a big fan of the post-war ‘Air’ series of watches.
amazing job, love the cup of tea...humor, well done

Looks great. Such a beautiful movement restored to full functionality. Very satisfying. The blue numbers dial could have worked, but the black California dial with patina'd numbers Is a bit more classic. Wonderful work.
