Great work, I'm looking forward to more of your work. Always on the lookout for good Centerlines and Kragers ;)
I've known Joey for 20+ years. I promise you he accepts nothing less than perfection in everything he does. From model cars to real cars. Regardless of what you throw at him, he will figure it out. Joey will go above and beyond to provide function with form with anything he creates. He will go the extra mile to explain things, offer critiquing, and offer guidance. I cant say enough good things about this dude. He has helped me with so many things over the years, and I'm not surprised to see him continue to impress. Hit him up. You will not be disappointed.

This one brings back memories! Built this kit some time in the late 1990s/early 2000s and painted it in red as well. I loved the build options available in the kit and I'd love to get one again. Like where this current build is going.

Could you put a video out on how you mix your paint? I'm more of a hands on guy, than just reading something. I'm quite sure a bunch of the newbies to airbrushing would appreciate it.

I have a real 39 Ford coupe. This is a neat kit, and you did a great job on the modifications. A lot of people may not know the panel truck was a larger vehicle and the body parts did not fit the sedan delivery. The panel truck had two rear doors and the delivery had one large door. This looks fast sitting still.
It’s alright Matt. It will be a slick Ford with the heart beat of a Chevy. 🤪🤪🤪 That is a nice paint job.

Engine Masters did both a small block and big block engine comparisons of all three companies. I won't tell you which did better but the way they did the show was very interesting. To keep the comparisons equal, they took steps to insure an unbiased result.

I really envy guys who can build a box stock model because for some reason I just can't. I can tell you still have fun with your building and don't over think everything. I tend to get a little burnt out half way through because I try to do too much detail. Kinda feels like work, instead of fun. BTW, That paint job is killer slick and deep looking like I try to get on mine.😎👍

Hi mat, from the land down under. Van is looking great 👍. In regards to using aluminium, I am in the middle of building a dodge challenger drag car and have used .5 aluminium sheet extensively throughout the car. Interior, dash, wheel tubs, floorpan And engine bay. Easy to work with and looks fantastic when polished. I have never attempted anything like it before, but decided to go all out with it and am glad I did. Makes a huge difference to the overall realism of the kit. Was good to see someone else trying it too. Keep up the good work, and am looking forward to seeing it finished 👍

LOVE those bead-lok drag wheels; so realistic looking. Beautiful paint job too and I like your tip about darkening the panel gaps. Since that red is slightly translucent, the black gaps add a 3D dimension to the door openings. GOOD STUFF!

Looking great so far. I ordered 2 sets of wheels from Joey today. Can't wait to get them.
You did a great job on that chassis.👍 If the pop can idea doesn't work, why not trim some very thin plastic sheet to fit, then cover it with the "dark" side of aluminum foil from the kitchen. Your wife builds models, she'll understand.😉 The wheels are terrific; I hope your friend has great success with his buisness!
Looks awesome... love my pro streets...

If AMT would sell the wheel and tire package from the 67 Chevelle they would have a best seller. I've bought 4 kits for parts. The side panel showed profile with bumper. What a great job Joey. Now if there cheaper than the kit I'm in. Great info. Super cool build.

Ur build is coming along great!! Like the color choice!! I started kitbashing and scratch building ~ 2 yrs ago. Now I can't build seem to build box stock. There is always something I modify or add w/ each kit. All that started w/ my discovery of guys that have 'SHAPEways 3d printing' shops. Now u have added to that by introducing me to Mr. Mazzarella....Tks!!! 🙄 BTW....I'm really enjoying Heather's build! She really has a good 'hot rod' design eye!

Lookin' good, Matthew. It's fun scratch building. I'm also new to scratch building and find that I enjoy it so much more than building out of the box. I'm still a newbe to it and haven't build much of anything since the mid 1960's, but the scratch build and modification makes it really fun. Ya...it takes a lot longer to complete a build, but so worth it. I'm working on a '34 Ford Pickup and trying to make it look like I remember my grandfathers '34 pickup looked. My major learning curve is painting, rusting and aging. I really never did that before so I'm nervous. Between you, Mark Batson, BG, Luka Cee and others, I'm learning. Keep making those video's my friend. I'm looking forward to seeing Heathers finished build too and now can't wait to see your panel van finished. Merry Christmas to you and Heather. May you have a wonderful holiday.

Dude! What a paint job! You are on your way. I love what you're doing with the kit. You have a great build started. Don't let up. Keep it going. Use your imagination and run with it. The tires and wheels are a great contribution to the build. I love the color. I love the stance you're working toward and the big block mill is a solid choice. Keep it going Dude. Matthew, you are both entertaining and informative. The build looks incredible. So this guy had the money to build that car, buy those tires and wheels and paint job but scrimped on the heads? Finish maxing out his credit card and get him some aluminum heads.
That is some killer wheels and tires!!! The build looks awesome! You could use a piece of styrene and use matte chrome foil over it, for the aluminum tub look. You are one hell of a painter, I wish I could shoot so clean!

Trust me, I've ruined a ton of paint jobs until I started using MCW paint.
A trick I've done for wheel Tubbs is I used my old pill bottles! They're really smooth and you just sand them and paint sweet! Hope this helps

Nice looking build Mathew! I really like the MCW paint. Also I have worked with Joey in a set of BBS wheels for a 69 Camaro I’m planning. He is an amazing person to deal with. I plan to buy a lot from him. And looking at Mathew’s wheels and tires I’m excited to get mine! I want to wish Joey all the luck 🍀 and I recommend his wheels!
