1932 Standard Big 9 Walkround
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Here is my gorgeous Standard Big 9, which is now 90 years old, having been made in 1932. Finished in black and green, and in very good condition for the year. Not concours, but a driveable, local show and club rally standard car. This is the Special Equipment model, with upgraded upholstery, a four-speed box and a few other refinements. Green leather interior is original and in very good condition.

I love that paint job.
Takes me back to when I was a lad the late 1940's and my parents had one of these. The radiator badge was exactly at my eye-level and I remember reading it. Standard called it a Nine but I think it was in fact a Ten when you came to tax it!

Me too, born 1941, my dad was for ever changinging his car ( and house ) and owned a pre-war Standard. It was years before I realised that 'Standard' meant a Flag, and the penny dropped.
That’s a beautiful car. Lucky you-although I doubt luck had much to do with it, so good for you probably more accurate. I wish I owned one like it.
Hey, I love your car! I have just purchased an identical 1932 standard big 9. I can't find the chassis number on mine. Do you know where I could look? Thank you :)
