1929 Ford Model A Barn Find - Day 1
First day of work on the '29 Model A. It runs and drives! Lots of stuff to be done still, but it's neat as-is.
Sorry about the audio quality when the car is running - the exhaust rotted away, so we were going out the manifold. It was loud enough to max my Nexus 5's mic.

I like the original cars with minimal alterations. To me and a lot of other car enthusiast, these cars the the real beauties.
Initially on the start up, I think a valve was hanging up...and as they often do after setting so long but got her running on a less than four cylinders and brought smiles. That aooooga horn was a added boost...NOW Lets have some fun with this MODEL A Looks like this is going to be a great teamwork effort and how lucky you are to have all those goods hands to help. That is going to be a GREAT MODEL A FORD......All the very best Gentlemen!!!!!!..

Love the "A"s. Had a '30 tudor in 1960.
Just a Gentle restoration and keep the old girl in good condition. Nice old model T.

I don't think it's suppose to sound like that. Might be useful for fetchin' groceries from Walmart when the monthly guberment check comes in Old horse is wore out so yeah, but I ain't so sure about this new fangled mechanical wonders.

Did they have mechanical or hydraulic breaks in cars this early???

Once I looked at a 37 had mech brakes Ford was late changing maybe 40 don't know for sure

i want one and that car only needs a lick of paint steel wool on the chrome and a glass on one of the headlights. and maybe some new bulbs and a new manifold and it should pass inspection :D

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.
Hey steady don't rev the nuts out of the engine like that when it did eventually start! You won't do the engine any good doing that, please show some respect in future. You still have this car & it is restored now please?
My sister's new Subaru Forrester sounds better than that. Not a lot better but better...
