Ronaldo didn't destroy this Arsenal at all 😂 yes he got two goals but he wasn't causing much problems 1v1 or with his passes but did have moments of brilliance but so did many players on the pitch.

@roryelliot8689 It's true that many do consider using the word "destroyed" usually when the player tears the defence apart, beats players and creates a lot of chances, and that's pretty fair I agree. But I believe even if you have a quiet game, and still net a brace, that's usually enough to kill the oppositions chances of winning, and maybe years from now on, when the dribbles and passes won't matter, all that'll remain is the fact that those 2 goals caused Arsenal to lose, which is pretty much some destruction. Also, yes, I get it that he can't really play like Messi, who's a more complete player and really does destroy teams more often. But you gotta give it to young Ronaldo in this case.

Squeezed a ball in the tightest angle to score a goal, following up a pin point cross from Giggs that Rooney wasn't in position for. Fought a physical battle against the 'invincibles' when he was 19. He may not have destroyed Arsenal, but he most certainly made an impact. So much so that Thierry Henry is still bitter about it

United couldn't beat prime Arsenal😂... took a Wayne Rooney dive to end the 49 game unbeaten run... and the ref was definitely paid off to help them

Rooney dive yet a clear penalty wasn’t given during the same game. During that period where they were top 2 United won 5 titles and Arsenal just 3. Arsenal never won the CL. Prime Arsenal lmao.
