The 168F is the 3 Horsepower inclined horizontal diesel, red or orange or pink, that you see on Amazon, KZread, and eBay. You have the 10 HP. I would put a 1 inch aluminum slab under the engine then 2 smaller leather pads under the slab around the 4 mounting bolts, then lay it on the steel tractor deck, so the mounting lugs don't repeatedly erode. I would also seek out boots for the alternator wires where they contact the motor. The vinyl insulation will erode. The 3 HP is hard enough to pull start. I can't imagine hand cranking your 19.1 compression motor. Nice unit top to bottom.

That is not a magneto, it is an AC alternator winding. A magneto produces spark for ignition.

The pull start is not garbage. its actually quite good (put to any petrol engine :D). But it is UTTER USELESS on this heavy compression to pull, small diesel engine. This noisy baby def. need an electric starter or a "pre wind and release" manual starter. Did you find any max delivery watts/amps/VA´s specs on that stator system ?

but all the chinese diesels got a decompression lever pull that and ez, sure if fighting the comp youre gonna break the rope really

very nice job, got a link for the kit you bought? also the torque spec for the flywheel nut is 100lb.ft.

I’d like to see more info about this engine. What items actually come in the kit? I want to put electric start on small yellow Diesel engine you see on Amazon, 196 cc.

Could I ask a favor? I've been looking around and can NOT find the spacing of the mounting holes on the bottom or the distance between the pto shaft and base. I've been looking at these engines for an unconventional snowblower engine replacement.

Sorry, it took me a little while to find the manual. It says the base plate is 272mm x 95mm. The distance from center of crankshaft to base plate is 155mm. Or at least that's what the manual says.

You think this engine would work into a swap into atv for work ? I have a Polaris atv 6x6 had a 400l 2 stroke engine I hate 2 strokes figure I’d put this in it for farm work hauling logs fence etc what you think?

I think it would. But 625.00 for the engine and another 295.00 for the starter kit.

I believe the little wheel horse is geared at 67 to 1 on first gear. It weighs close to 500lbs. It will pull some major weight as long as the turff tires hold grip. If your machine is geared low, I think you'll be able to.

I can determine which engine you have. It looks like the 9 horse engine.

The 186f is a clone of the yanmar l100. Would it be possible to swap over electric start parts from a yanmar over to this engine?
