    @@gravesru I have a 2019 Honda Talon 1000R. I have 25% Gear reduction and the craft work turbo is on its way. I can only imagine if I added your mods as well. 104 HP plus’s 60% more mower from a turbo, plus’s 25% gear reduction then adding your 25% ish HP gains and 120% ish more torque. I’m figuring around 230-240 HP to the ground and around 325-350 ft lbs torque. That’s more than plenty. It’s those torque ratings I’m interested in. I rock crawl. The gear reduction was a game changer. It spins 35” tires with ease. I’m sticking with 33” tires to keep reliability. Everything starts breaking with 35” tire and up.

    Not sure you’d need more power for rock crawling, especially if you already have a gear reduction! But it would be crazy if you did!

    Honda Talon is not quit ready for a Turbo. Turbos are failing everywhere. Thanks for sharing all your good and much appreciated info and experience. I think us Talon owners need a Polaris/Can-Am/YXZ engine swap conversion even the Arctic Cat motor would be good.

    All runs have a turbo. First runs are with a new fuel rail, pistons, headstuds and a new flash. Last 2 runs are with the Jackson racing turbo kit stock

    So I’m guessing we are talking about 10K in upgrades on a $26K machine? So less hp than a new 36K Pro R naturally aspirated?

    It’s about $7k upgrade and it’s more power than a pro r. Pro r has 170whp and is much heavier. This has more than double the torque of a pro r as well

    Ypur torque number is way off. The only way it can make that torque with that hp is at like 3k rpm.

    Hello Russell. Thanks for content. Looks like you put the factory exhaust back on for this video. Any specific reason? My turbo is was finished yesterday. Sad to report... the Mbrp exhaust (sounded awesome pre-turbo) doesn't have nearly the same throat it had before. Not sure if it's worth keeping on. What are your thoughts?

    I put the stock exhaust back on because Jackson racing does not allow any other exhausts with their kit and JR claims they will reduce power. I don’t recommend running any exhaust without a custom tune from PPEI. I believe evo is about the only exhaust you can run with the JR flash. I highly recommend installing a AFR gauge with the turbo kit too make sure you don’t run too lean and cause engine failure.

    That’s awesome. Any explanation to why the torque was so much higher in A/T vs sport? You would think it would be the same or higher. Is the ECU pulling power to save clutches? Only other thing I can think of would be the torque is being made at a lower rpm range that the sport mode doesn’t see because it’s holding out revs.

    I think it’s a perfect setup, in AT mode you can operate at lower rpm’s to save fuel and have an enormous amount of torque to play with. So, it’s how the flash is designed. Higher HP in sport mode for racing, more torque at lower rpm’s.

    Hello I'm going to run 14 pounds of boost and I would like to know what pistons your running. 9 1/2 or 10 1/2 to 1 also are you running 91 octane gas. Thanks Ron

    I made a video comparing both of them. There’s good and bad with both of them. KW is cheaper and has more potential. But supposedly JR is releasing a race kit with 250hp
