I brought this game to our weekend playing Austerlitz recently, but unfortunately, we didn't get around to playing it. It's certainly a very attractive product. Thanks for the review, I'll need to try the solo mode at some point. My copy didn't come with the neoprene playmat, which looks fantastic!

Hi Alistair, I purchased the copy from a fellow on Consim Marketplace on FB. It was unopened and included the mat and both expansion decks. It was a very good price, less than retail! I hope you have a chance to play it solo, I think you will enjoy it also.

Been playing this one solitaire just now. The Emperor vs perfidious Albion of course ;) It really is very good. Lots of flavor, very cinematic. Where Napoleon Saga feels like an abstracted wargame (especially miniatures wargame) this one seems far more flavor/atmosphere over simulation. On the plus side it's A.I. seems better worked out running itself pretty well.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I really enjoyed this game and have found it to be very compelling narrative! I also found the "bot" to work well.
