These unboxings are definitely my favorite videos on your channel!

Usually they stop putting slip covers on discs after a certain production number. You may be able to contact their costumer service to see if they have any in their warehouse. OR! You could got to a retail store like Wal*mart with them unopened, see if they have them with slip covers, say you got them as gifts and ask if you can exchange them for the ones with slip covers in store.

Haha that was so funny Locks Quest being in there. Those slipcases are a tough thing, I personally really need whatever little extras may have came with a game, movie, music etc. all be it slipcases, artbooks, soundtracks, etc. I would try to get the movies all in slipcases for the ones that had em. I recently have been looking into that Pop'n Tanks game as well. Great gameboy and promotional stuff! I love me some Mystery Unboxings! (^.^)b

It amazes me that you still have room to hang up a poster or a sign.

I would definitely try to get the slip covers. I always hated slip covers but they looks so nice displayed. As a collection you must have them!

get slip covers for your favorite (say 3 or so) display those, and keep the others locked away so that you're never reminded that some of your movies dont have slip covers, and store all the movies without them.

I'm not sure what it's like in the US but here in the UK films only usually have slipcovers when it's the first print of the film. So if you want a slip for a big release then you need to get it in the first few weeks of its release.

I think the slipcover for Howls Moving Castle is quite rare, i remember someone else on youtube complaining that there was no slip cover for it and that they bought it separately for around $5-$10

Id probably send back the movies I have a full studio ghibli collection with the slip covers and it looks really nice but i mean if your gonna spend the money on it might aswell get the full thing in my opinion. Ether way nice to have regardless of what you decide.

YES! Return them and ask if they have them with slip covers. Amazon Support is awesome with return/exchanges. It's better now than later. Wait a little longer and get the satisfaction one day of having the right complete collection. Invest time to have a better collection.

I would return them until the slip covers were available. I have about 10, all with covers and they look great on display with the slip covers!

Every collector that has decent looking collection will display them together - just look at Petes room or any room tour/collections videos.

Wow, that Warlocked game looks pretty impressive on the GBC, I figured Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare was alone in games that really pushed the hardware hard and didn't just more or less look like a Gameboy game in color. And you probably should open your ebay packages more quickly, you never know if what you get might be defective, etc. and need to get in contact with the seller to resolve it.

Ahh I feel your pain man. It's such a bummer when you have half of something one way and the other half a different way whether it's movies, books, or games. I prefer having the slip covers as well.

Nice to see some sonic love for a change, sonic 2 is one of the most nostalgic games for me every time I hear the green hill zone music it just takes me back. I remember when the n gage first came out I was working in Dublin I got it along with Colin McRae rally because there was nothing else it but I was never able to find anymore games for the system.

I usually get my Studio Ghibli Blu-Ray's at Walmart or Hastings and they still have their slip covers. Except, I don't buy them online. Just to let you guys know.

I don't have much of a movie collection, but having slipcovers is a big thing for me too. I think you should contact the seller on Amazon and see if you can do an exchange for the blurays with slipcovers. If not, just return them.

Hey PeteDorr. have you seen the Legend of Legacy and Stella Glow on the 3DS? Do you have any opinions on them?

I dunno if you still read the comments for older videos like this, but people give away/sell slip covers cheap on blu-ray . com's forums. I have a similar sticking point with Pixar's blu-rays and was able to get the few I didn't have from there.

Keep the ones without the slip covers, selling them would be more stressful because its not guaranteed that your gonna get every movie with a slip cover.

Princess Mononoke bluray deserves to have a slip case.

Having a mismatch would be too painful xD I would either send back the ones without the slip covers, or take off the slipcovers put them somewhere and forget about them >.> and have a whole collection without covers.

Are you sure the Ghibli movies all came with slip covers? I ordered a few of them from Amazon as well and several of mine also did not come with slipcovers, Castle in the Sky, Totoro, Howl's Moving Castle, Nausicaa. Spirited Away did also have a slipcover like yours does. I also just bought some more which will come in eventually but I doubt they will have covers to them.

The point of buying stuff and movies is enjoying what you own, if you want the slip covers you should get them, it's what i would do.

This may sound crazy but I would take the slip covers off and display them all without them for uniformity. I would possibly use the covers in some sort of display if I could make it look good. I'm personally not really a fan of slip covers tho. I actually hate it when games come in weird covers or metal cases coz they look weird on the shelf. I have the version of Halo 3 that comes in a huge metal case and it drives me nuts looking at it to this day.

Pete, only the original print runs have slipcovers. That's why the slipcover versions are a lot more expensive on Ebay. I actually collect the Japanese blu-rays, not the US versions, because they look amazing. It's not just the packaging either, but the films have slightly better transfers. You turned me into a Ghibli fan and man do I love them. I've seen all the movies and had the privilege of going to the Ghibli Museum (MUST for hardcore Ghibli fans). I even ended up buying myself a film cel, that cost a pretty penny, among other things. You should do a Studio Ghibli special.

Hey PeteDorr I personally would put them all up on the shelf without the covers (so it's uniform) and store the slip covers elsewhere! Just an idea that I'm sure you've already thought of but hey.

Send em back of you know for sure they're supposed to have slip covers. That's what I'd do.

If it were up to me I'd totally just buy the movies in store with the slip cover and then return the ones without the slip cover because even sometimes they sell them without it in store and nobody's gonna care.

I specifically collect movies and gave up on slip covers, unless it's essential to the case. Like run time and what not. If you're really anal about slip covers, you'll have to buy from ebay unless the release is fairly new. It doesn't matter how many times you send it back to Amazon, it will always come without it. Eventually they discontinue slip covers on releases after a few months or so.

Wouldn't say that's wise to leave parcels unopened for months especially if they are bought from Ebay or even anywhere else using Paypal. If any of your items are damaged or the wrong game was posted to you then you won't be able to claim your money back as their is a limited time only in which you can make your claim.

In regards to the Studio Ghibli collection. If it were me I would keep them, but I'm not too bothered about the condition of my movies: so long as the disc is pristine, I couldn't care less about the case or slip cover. However, if it was a game or a book, I'd definitely return them if there was anything wrong or missing: I try to keep my library and game collection is pristine condition. So, with that said, it's up to you, man. If it will bug you, then send them back.
