15 thumbs down , i know its sad to see a fish like that killed i do understand but at least it was an ethical catch on a jig and float and not fly flossed or snagged

I have a rule in my head it's to keep middle sized fish, no big or small, keep average size. which I got from ace videos channel, it makes perfect sense because little are too small to eat, and big ones population too little to keep. I got scared that you were going to release it at first because you rolled it around on the ground and dry hands and keeping it out of the water for insanely long but you kept it so it's all good. I always try to encourage ppl to handle fish they release verry well because why would you release it if you just pretty much killed it? Great video👍

Agreed I would keep a couple small rainbows a couple times per year but never large ones unless they were injured . And not browns especially the large ones spawners plus large brown and bow don’t taste good and higher in chemicals

Really neat to see you get excited about a fish. You guys always enjoy it, but it was cool to see a fish that could bring the nervous excitement and make you start repeating phrases during the fight---I think as fishermen we all do that when we are excited. You have released more than your fair share of fish to deserve keeping that one, good job!!

She is a beauty. I caught huge browns this year. Seen some in the 20 pound range. They were trying to make whoopie with my foot at Burts. They are going to open a taxidermy store across from the dam where the fish cleaning station is. I was catching salmon on pink and white jigs. Browns and Steelies on bright yellow beads. Also a bead called egg yolk and white beads. Happy fishing.

You need to come out to CO- jigs n floats crush trout everywhere....but I do miss the WNY tribs.....Nice call on the repo mount- they do last much longer than a skin mount, & look much nicer (IMHO).
