Nice trip. In 1985 I was aboard a 165 ft. gaff rigged schooner called TeVega that is now called DEVA. We were headed west from Leningrad, USSR and hit the tail end of the perfect storm. Our next stop was this canal. I reached over the boat and touched East Germany with my hand but never stepped foot on East German soil. Beautiful area.

Such a pleasure. My wa’pa is progressing to finished. With hopes of similar sails on the Missouri River in the U.S.
