It's great to see a candy company keeping the old skills and machinery as a main part of their production. As a Brit it's also been really informative as to how sticks of rock (candy cane in US) are made and how they get those intricate patterns. Makes me nostalgic for the holidays spent at the seaside finishing in a giftshop full of hardboiled sweets/sticks of rock.

As a brit, I completely relate to this comment 😊
Greg I absolutely agree any size container of fresh blueberries is a serving size 😆

LOL I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way!
I got the image variety pack as a gift when I moved in to college and the blueberry was in it. It is so good and the citric acid really adds another dimension. I had always heard Greg talk about the air bubbles and how they help with it dissolve faster but you really have to experience it to truly understand how it impacts the flavor and texture. Normally I don’t like blueberry flavored things, but these are some of my favorites that came in the bag!
I bought my first yo-yo from y’all back in the mid 90s. It’s fun to watch you making candy on KZread now. More fun to stop by and have a shake and eat the candy in person!

I'm enjoying Uri's work! I always love seeing you, Greg, but you have some great employees too. Keep showing them off!
Yay, back to frequent vids!
1:43 wow that blue color looks so pretty
I order candy from their site as often as I have a little money and they are and forever will be my favorite candy company
Had this in my Image Variety Pack not too long ago, and my god, this was one of the most delicious things in it 😋

Ordered the same pack. The blueberry and grape were both amazing!
I've heard the explanations 174 times now but somehow it never gets old.
Uri is awesome! He helped me with my candy order -- super kind and professional. He really knows his stuff. Thanks to Uri and Lofty Pursuits for helping me bring joy to my family! There is nothing like the taste of your candy!
Blowing In The Wind as sound track while listening to candy making process... Greg, I've been watching your channel since 2015, my first visit to Lofty at Tallahassee in 2017 with my kids, and first time I've ever cried over sweets. Hard candy was magical to my childhood, from prom dates to picnics did I settle a couple of bags with the people I cherish. My family will settle for a visit again once my condition is better. Many loves from me, my wife and daughters at Madison, WI.
Have they ever done a video on the history of the blue raspberry color/flavor combo? Or is that what Greg's teasing for the next one?
Just taking a moment to thank you for all the work on the podcast. As I learn more and more about your experience I can feel myself becoming more forgiving, open minded, and patient. It feels like you have invited me into the family. Phenomenal job.
"He has one 25 pound piece of candy. In some circles this may be considered a single serving size, because with fresh blueberries I consider any container a single serving size." Lol!! Same!
So much talent all over Lofty ❤
Love the Bob Dylan cover playing >:)
Ive never been to a video so fast! I havent seen you guys in years Im glad to finally watch you guys again

Yuri's always a joy to watch, great to watch a master at work!
I’ve been following for years and I think this is my favourite flavour and video yet!!
Sir keep playing that barbershop music in the background I love it😍.
I finally got to stop by and try some of your candy 🍬 Most amazing candy ever !!!! Bought 6 bags from the wall and lunch there was delicious as well
I might need to go grab my candy package and have a few pieces... Update: om nom nom yummy blueberry
That pigment is pH-sensitive. Using juice from red cabbage you can make pretty much a full-range pH indicator liquid. I don't think it is used in pH papers though because it can't be fixed to the paper and so would run when it was used for testing the pH of another liquid.

There's actually a great video of an experiment of that being done by Margaret Thatcher, the former prime minister of the UK. I believe it's on KZread
Always amazed at how good the final cross section looks
You always pick great music for your videos, Greg!
You should have made these for Hammonton NJ. The self proclaimed blueberry capitol of the world
Suckered in once again. I guess I'll be enjoying some blueberry candies soon!
Always amazing to watch the process. Thank You!!!
This made me go to your site and buy like 7 flavors. Thank you for the work you do. Can't wait to try after I've hyped it in my mind so long!
Seeing these videos will never get boring
Love the explanation in the video this time! Really interesting and fun to watch. 👍🏼
I hope to visit the actual shop someday when I pass through Florida
Yea so I ended up subscribing too and then purchasing a yo-yo and booking lessons after some of Yoyo Factory’s videos so thanks for the share!
You're on a roll! Thanks for getting the videos going again here! I've really missed seeing new ones.
Just put in a nice big order. Love what yall do
Wow that looked awesome
Where I live and grew up, blueberries were never rare. Summer was blueberry pie season. I never thought of them as local. Of course, I live in Southern Ontario, and wild blueberries are sold at roadside stands all through the Muskoka region in July - August.
Thank you for the new video
Love your videos!
These and the banana are my favorite!
Harry's mastery is very impressive!
Awesome Video lofty pursuits
Looking forward to seeing Greg again.
This is interesting. Two new things popped out to me. One, this is, I believe, the first time that you've talked some about the thermodynamics of heat in the candy. Also, I believe that this is also the first video of any hard candy making where your puller was not wearing any type of thermal glove protection. When he was forming and cutting, no gloves. I mean, it looked like he was wearing either latex or vinyl gloves that were a size to big for him. I.e. they looked loose. I'm going to guess that he can wash pots like an old friend that I worked with. She kept her pot water near scalding. Or, that he can work with the intricacies of heat in the process. Like he's got a built in infeared thermometer in his fingers.
I am planning to buy some!😊
Looks yummy 😋

Will there be a restock in the Lavender crystal candy by any chance? I've always wanted to try lavender in a candy. Still gonna buy the crystal rose candy while I still can.

One day, I'll make it over from Scotland (Liverpool originally).... one day.
Cool
I hope you guys will be safe, hurricane Ian is coming through I hope you guys are all okay.
if only i was in florida
This looks fun, but looks at this guys arms covered in burns... it immediately stops looking as fun
Maybe James Webb telescope candy? in some infra red flavor ;)
Blue raspberry next?
I know I'm an idiot for saying this, but that liquid food coloring looks just like it could be used to write with in a cheap fountain pen. Cheap, because you don't want to ruin a good pen. But I have used food coloring before to write with, and it does work. And it's cheaper that real ink... I'm in The Netherlands though, and I don't know how to get my hands on a bottle like that. Nice video guys, ty.
I hope you're all doing well! Let's hope Ian dodges Tallahassee
Who's doing that cover of Blowin In The Wind?
Lofty Pursuits! The shop that has fun making candy, just as much as you have fun eating them! 😋🍬
👍👍👍
Psss have you seen those videos of Japanese candy makers who basically sculpt sugar like it's glass and then paint it? Those tiny sculptures look like glass frogs, dogs, goldfishes... collab or travel idea? XD
What do you do with the pieces that you lop of the ends?
There's no candy shoppe I want to visit more.
Literally first ,love your videos they help me sleep❤️❤️❤️💙💙💙
where you at general sam gang!!!
What about a candy that is just the outer shell of a white tic tac, without the mintier middle part.
You gonna upload soon? We’re getting a bit worried
I assume the temperatures you say are in fahrenheit as you're based in Florida?

Did the native Americans have the same concept of a European heraldic 5-pointed star as us?
Does anyone else see a butterfly or is it just me
Umm.. every fruit has a star from leaves or petals..😁
Ooo the music matched almost perfectly, but the voice was competing with yours a bit.

I usually enjoy the background music. Today, it is distracting
FOURTH
But a blueberry is red when you bite into it! ;-)
The background music is quite loud and it's hard to hear your voice over.
I love your videos, but this one was difficult for me to listen to because of the background music. I love that song. But the lyrics made it hard for me to hear what you were saying.
it was really hard to focus on your narration with the lyrical music in the background
Please don't use music with lyrics under your narration. It was a struggle getting my brain to focus on your narration with the singing in the background
The sped up music in the background is super distracting - love your work but I had to stop watching this one before it finished because of that!
I completely agree that ANY container of fresh blueberries is a single serving size. Fortunately we have a great U Pick farm nearby where we can make a day of it and pick them by the multiple pounds for a very reasonable price 😂💙🫐
So happy to see the videos back more regularly and your place hopping again. It’s also a lot of fun to see how everyone makes the candy and works in their own ways. 🫶🏻
