Completely agree with you reference the customer service Nigel, I bought half a dozen quadgrow a few years back and had one lid missing......it arrived the next flippin day....to darlington,very impressed.

excellent review Nigel, plenty of scope. i think the burning of a probe hole is a great idea as it will not interfere with the vent control.

Hi mate that’s a first class review. I own two of these and they are an absolute delight to propagate seeds and cuttings. The holes near the power cable shown in your video at 6:29 will fit the thermostat probe right through it. And you are absolutely right about greenhouse sensation, when it comes to customer service they are second to none. Take care Vinny

This is a great look at this propogator. It’s nice to understand the “lift” rating of the heater. Great usability with the modular design.

What I can say being a customer of GS top quality customer service . I bought 2 chilli grow from the and I am well impressed with them . I wish more company's where like this in the UK . Good luck with your VITOPOD Nigel .

You could actually use that to grow some greens in during the colder seasons. That plus being inside a conservatory could make it warm enough even without using the heat function much.

Hi Mike, we all have to make sacrifices....I would love a workshop like yours in my garden. Setting up large tools (table saw, chop saw) is a pain every time I want to use mine - but the greenhouse won the claim for space.....I guess we both need a larger garden 🤣. With greenhouse sensations going under could only find it from Two Wests & Elliot and then only the small one, your so lucky 😢

The Garden Angels at Greenhouse Sensation are great - can't do enough to help. I love my Vitopods Nigel. I have hot chillis (early start), microgreens, show onions and shallots in them at present

Hi Terry, First impressions was the cost.....it is not cheap, but the build quality is very good and gives you confidence that it will last a few years, The sand box is good (and has served me 25 years) but has a couple of disadvantages, The weight....my benches in the greenhouse are not free standing and are supported by the main structure. It takes up a lot of space after it is not being used, whereas the Vitopod can be dismantled, flat packed and moved out to reclaim the bench space. Finally the customer service that I received is another reassuring reason. Many thanks for watching 👍

Hi Nigel, good review mate👍. I've had one of these for a few years now and very happy. I found that if you reverse the top layer, the side joins are not on top of each other so it helps to make it more rigid, hope that makes sense...😂 Jim.

Hi Mark....if you have electric supply....then well worth the investment.....the very often have 24hr offers on their website.........that is how I snapped this one up 👍 🌻 Nigel .......MuddyBootz Allotment 🌻

I really want one of these but it looks like Garden Sensation went out of business late last year. They look like such a sensible solution and I spent too long procrastinating.

I used a drill to widen one hole in the side panel to allow the thermostat probe to pass through. That has worked perfectly for me and is neater than passing it through the roof. It also means that you can take off the lid without disturbing the probe, which allows watering easily. Mine is full of chillis, sweet peppers and aubergines right now. No onions seeds sown yet! I hope I'm not too early with the seeds I have sown, or too late with my onion seeds... I always enjoy your videos Nigel. Many thanks from the Southeast of Ireland.

What a great looking unit! I think that’s perfect for an unheated green house! Over here the standard plant tray size is a 10-20, I’m wondering how many of those trays would fit in the large propagater? My head is all full of micro greens right now, I bet you could grow trays of micro greens in your greenhouse during a British winter, in one of those units. Have you ever checked out the Hoss channel, they have interesting intelligent gardening content, it’s different growing than the UK or Canada it gives one something to think about. Klaus

Hi mate if you put the thermostat wire through one of the cut outs on the top side of the base, cable side and sit the stat on a seed tray that works fine, no need to make any hole in the unit. Regards Carl

Nice bit of kit but a bit pricey for me and my growing needs. I also think they could use brown paper and cardboard instead of bubble wrap and plastic for protection while in the boxes save on the landfill getting all that throwaway plastic.

Hi Nigel, I’ve got a question about your Vitopod once you have set a target temperature on the thermostat does it stay at your chosen temperature or does it go above your target temperature and is there any heating in your greenhouse thanks in advance. Frankie.

Hello Frankie, sorry I have only just seen your message.......THe Vitopod will raise and maintain the temperature you set....Providing the surrounding outside temperature is not above the set temperature...ie it cannot cool 😀. Hope this explains No heating in my greenhouse except I may light a candle under a clay pot on very cold nights 🌻 Nigel .......MuddyBootz Allotment 🌻

Looks a great bit of kit. I like the way you can stack them. I went for 2 x 52cm Stewart thermostatic controlled ones from Amazon. Of course both were damaged and swapped. Well it was amazon so not really surprised they were damaged 😃

Not sure what you are buying but It wouldn't be for me either. Wherever you got that price from, they are ripping you off!!! Always go to manufacturers site £205. but looks like they are sold out at the moment, just shows what good value they are.
