Jake and URI have fun making a raccoon candy to remember Rebecca the first Raccoon.
No, the first raccoon, not like Steve Rodgers.
Rebecca was the first raccoon in the white house. She escaped becoming part of Thanksgiving dinner and became a part of the first family.
See our "Unloved candy videos". Ones KZread did not promote so you probably missed. bit.ly/3qXqc0m

agreed, love these videos
I'm not sure how long you've been doing this, but I just noticed the little graphic of the candy design in the upper right corner that fills in as the video goes on. I love it! It's super useful, especially with a design as complicated as this one.

It's been there for a long time. Though they might not have it in every video.
When we were children, my father brought an orphaned raccoon home from work whose mother had been hit by a bulldozer. We named her Rosie and raised her alongside our cat Booboo. Boo shadowed Rosie and learned to eat on her hind legs and use her two paws to eat like Rosie. Such fond memories 🥰 I'm a new subscriber from Safs video. I enjoyed your story and adorable candy.
I’m impressed by that black coloring. I’m so used blacks being either reallly dark blue-greens or purples. That one was actually a near neutral black. That grey was perfect.
Mmmm lemongrass, plum and blackberry sounds delicious. Nice combo of flavours.
The background music and the story of Rebecca the raccoon were both so wonderful. I cried a little bit when she got sent away to the National Zoo.
I just came from Safiyah's video, you guys are so talented!! I never even thought about candy being made with the same process as polymer clay canes, with the added difficulty of it being hot candy, and I love having the history lesson with it. I'll go check out the victorian candy making videos you guys have!

my boyfriend and I are driving from wisconsin to orlando this august, will definitely be making a stop at lofty pursuits
Yay! I've missed these classic Lofty Pursuit vids with the characteristic combo of interesting trivia and soothing Greg narration
Greg has a really soothing voice. Wonderful video
Ohhh I’ve missed these videos! These look amazing. I don’t know if I’ve ever tried lemongrass candy before, but you’ve definitely talked me into it.
Yo, that raccoon face turned out so good! Excellent work as usual guys!
Not only do we see the candy making process, but also the history behind it. Well done to both the narrator and the two candy makers.
I have really MISSED these videos! What a great little piece of history in a great little piece of candy!
I love this! Storytime with Greg! I never knew about Rebecca. Thank you for sharing. ~Sharon
I love seeing how these edible pieces of art are made, you all are Awesome!
This is seriously magic how you're able to do this.
Striped candy edges are honestly the best lookin in candies like this bcuz of how satisfyin it is to watch the stripes as the candy as bein formed and rolled
Greg you were born for KZread. I came for the candy content and stayed for the history lesson.
i love how it seems like everyone who makes candy has their own sort of style and flair to it! great video!
I need to buy a bag of these asap
I obviously needed to order these! She’s so cute and historical, nonnegotiable lol
hey greg!! i just bought some of your candy and now you're tempting me to buy more lol. this looks great and unique.
Those turned out super cute! Glad to see a new video from you guys.
Just wanted to thank you and the penguins for the delicious candy I received in the mail today. Me and my Bear really enjoyed it.
I bought a bag of these candies! So tasty 😋
Geez, and I thought Teddy Roosevelt was the president with the White House menagerie! But the raccoon design is adorable.
i missed these videos from you guys! i used to watch them when i was a kid and this brings back a wonderful nostalgia
I love the cool facts and stuff to go along with the process. These videos are awesome!
I just saw your video on Wired and I was so incredibly moved! The work you guys do is truly mind blowing. The love and care and dedication that you put into your craft is inspiring and I really hope I can come to your country some day and visit your store. Also have endless admiration for Uri. His work is pure dedication and excellence. With lots of love and awe from Karachi, Pakistan! 🌻
I feel like everybody got the yearly candy making urge all at the same time again
It's been so rainy so glad to see y'all making candy
My day is now so much better! Your info and candy are super interesting and I can’t wait to order these!
Oh man, highly reccomend this place, had the tangerine sours (honestly they nailed it) amd the lime soda candy is like you took green rivers soda and turned it into a razzle, amazing.
Oooh a new video! And what a lovely story and cute design!
The flavors sounded delicious! Loved the history lesson too 🦝
This is a terrific video. The combo of Uri speeding also & your narration are are a nice combo. I especially liked the animation that showed each step of the components of the design.
Sounds delicious. I love lemongrass
What a cute design! I love it!
I came for the candy but stayed for the history lesson, very cool! :D
came from safiya's video, subscribing!
This is art meets science. How on Earth can they make that big roll of black white and gray candy look like a raccoon's face when it is cut?
glad to hear ol greg again
Andrew Jackson's parrot was an African Grey. They are some amazing birds. I met an African Grey once that spoke both English and Russian and was snarky in both 😂❤ I just ordered some of these, I can't wait to try them!
Came from Safiya’s video! Very neat, thanks for sharing!
The way you guys form those images in the candy is pretty amazing
the wrap reminds me of Everton mints here in UK. Black and white striped mints with a chewie caramel center. Great video!
My dad raised a raccoon, who rode standing on his shoulders on his bicycle, he caused 2 car accidents riding his bike, from people staring at him and her, not paying attention to the road, she barked like a dog, and she didnt like the mailman. She loved eggs, and she left one day and didnt come back when he let her out to potty. He raised her from a baby. Found abandoned by her mother under a propane tank.
I picked up a bag of Rebecca Raccoon candy yesterday!
I got this candy! I couldn't pin point the flavor at all, now I know! Awesome
Thank goodness I can go to this gentleman's website and order this candy!
Really enjoyed watching this design come together, it honestly blows my mind every time how you guys figure these out. Someone special bought us some of these and they're delicious! The berry/plum/lemongrass combo is really fun.
Always happy to see LP videos!
That was mouthwateringly Amazing, So glad I found you!!!
Missed these videos! These look adorable!
This flavor is so good and I'm so happy that you had it in stock for as long as you have. Even if you don't make this particular image candy again, you have to bring back this flavor combo it's too good❤❤❤❤
Been waiting for a new vid from you all for awhile so happy to see one
My grandpa had a "pet" raccoon, under the supervision of the raccoon's mother!
Oh showing off his backhand canviling skills for Rebecca!
I got some of these today and Tangerine sours and I love them
"Andrew Jackson had a parrot named Polly, who literally knew how to use FOWL language." That. Dad. Pun.... xD

I love this! Raccoons are my favourite animal!
Adorable, just ordered one
Omg my mind completely exploded at the end, but how!, this is amazing!. Pure talent here. Like :).
Lol the National Zoo AKA the National Menagerie 😂 I've had ducks, quail, and peafowl living in my bathroom for periods of time, it's not THAT bad 😂 they just need more space as they grow, and BOY do Pekin ducks grow!
Long time no see; glad to see a return to form with these image candy and history videos! I’m sort of out of the loop on what happened with the Tangerine Sours; is that what they were busy with for so long? Anyone know the details?
Incredible!!!
So cute!
How'd I miss this!? Shame on me for not hitting the bell icon!
Just love you fine folk.
I love your videos, I never miss one.
love it they look so cute!
This tastes amazing!
Greg, do you think it’s possible to do a peach sour!? Love all the other ones please keep the flavors coming
I can't believe y'all did a video with Safiya Nygaard! I live in Tallahassee (not to far from Lofty Pursuits) and I'm a HUGE fan of Safiya! I wish I could have been there lol!

You should make tiger candy next! 🐯 🐅
The raccoon bit a human? Shocking.
Who else is here from Saf’s video?
Welcome back
oh my gosh i need to get some
What about a candy that is just the outer shell of a white tic tac, without the mintier middle part.
What's the music in the video? Some real bops in there.
YES
impressive trash panda!
