Talking about money can be difficult, whether it's a couple dealing with their finances or a church talking with parishioners about what they put in the collection plate. During our church's annual budgeting period I made this video for our congregation with goals in mind: encouraging a few people to start giving for the first time, a few to increase their current giving up to the 10% God asks of us in the Bible, and third to get people to use their banks's BILL PAY feature to automatically send in a check each week or two. If a church can increase ANY of these three areas by just a percent or two it makes a huge difference to small churches like Hamilton United Methodist Church, here in Neptune, New Jersey. My two church gal pals, Donna and Lou, along with our young friend, Jeremiah, all shared their stories with me.
