17 minutes of Antarctica Photography.
This week I'm doing some landscape photography and wildlife photography in Antarctica, or at least talking about it. As photography trips go it was a good'un so I talk through some of the places we visited and the photos I took.
I was on the trip with Nigel Danson, Adam Gibbs and Alyn Wallace - videos below.
Nigel's video: • Why the 100-400mm Lens...
Adam's video: • The ULTIMATE Antarctic...

@@JamesPopsysPhoto OUCH!
James Popsys: “I use the rule of odds, you know, 1, 3, 5…”. Also James Popsys: “Here’s a shot with 8 penguins…” 😂 Classic!

.... and one with 42 penguins in.
Exceptional photos James, breathtaking scenery. I live above the arctic circle, so I'm eager to see the snow melt. We've had snow here since the end of September, but your photos are beautiful and peaceful.
You're so lucky to be able to travel to places like this, and immerse yourself in their beauty, doing something you love. The red shed and penguins is sublime!

I was quite perplexed with your panoramas, how do you do it when the subject is moving?
Wonderful vid, James - love it to bits. Jaw-dropping scenery, and some epic shots.
Best 17 minutes ever. I loved this style of video and I hope to see more like that.

You someone is really proud and passionate of their work when they say "this is one of my favorites" almost every shot. Incredible work!
I loved how you walked us through your thought process when composing your shots
Incredible photos and just perfect ambience & mood! Way to capture it !!
Loved your photos. We visited many of the same places back in 2008. Just an incredible place. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
No comment... in a positive way though, because sometimes making a forced comment results in saying something everyone else does, but for me, I have no comment because I literally have no words to describe the beauty of Antarctica. Thank you for the video and taking us on this journey with you James! Always love your videos.
Thanks for a great trip! Truly epic. Learned a ton not only on the trip but watching your channel. Thanks again.
Been looking forward to this one!

Appreciate hearing your successes AND your failings. Also, your humility is appreciated
These were some of the best photos i have ever seen.
The ice wall picture is astounding. Love it.

Some epic photos. 👍
Those blues and cyans are breathtaking. Priceless hues for want of a better description. I also love that single (odd) penguin shot. The deep blue in that 50mm shot of the water is amazing. Almost black with a touch of colour. Magnificent James!
Hi James, epic stuff. Well done!
Some incredible shots mate, keep up the great work I just found your channel a few weeks ago and absolutely love it.
That shot at 8:45 timestamp looks so surreal, def one of my favorite photo on this photo set.

That was sick! Definitely on my bucket list! I'll bet Adam Gibbs was really disappointed there weren't any trees! 😁
Fascinating video; subscribed! The images of the seal @ 5:20 and the seal and penguins @ 5:24 are my personal favorites. And Just when you had me thinking I might be capable of going on a photography excursion in Antarctica, you jumped into the water and brought me back to reality. I be shivering at that thought for days!
Hi James. Just stumbled on your channel. Wow, beautiful work in every way. Stunning photography and insights on the art. Inspiring!
