17 Best Swiss Watch Brands | The Luxury Watches
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
If you asked the ordinary person on the street in any region of the world which country comes to mind when they think of luxury timepieces, they'd probably say Switzerland. Several other countries, such as Japan and Germany, produce outstanding luxury timepieces. Switzerland will always top the list as the world capital of fine watchmaking, and rightly so. The country's long history of watchmaking excellence stems not only from the sheer number of industry giants that call it home, such as Rolex, Omega, Patek Philippe, and Audemars Piguet but also from its world-renowned reputation for expertise in all the various crafts that go into fine watchmaking.

Many thanks, a great video, but a small point of clarity, Omega did not invent the coaxial escapement! It was invented by the British watchmaker George Daniel who then passed it on to Omega.
Very nice, I shall again watch. A very, according to me, beautiful topic on watches is shown here.
Great job, thank you. I can think of Piaget, as innovators with the Altiplano. There are many others brands. Diversity is great
Nice informative vloggg
Although it's a good list overall, and with all respect to the brands mentioned in the comments, but how can Breguet be omitted from a 17-swiss brands list??

@@MENSA.lady2 Yes you did miss something, Breguet IS a Swiss watch brand part of the Swatch Group and that makes very high end watches. It was founded in 1775 in France by Louis Abraham Breguet, a watchmaker many consider the best of all times, and inventor of the Tourbillion mechanism, and also invented a type of automatic watch, and high precision watches(for that era), and for the French Court. The Breguet you mention is part of the Dassault-Breguet French aviation conglomerate, a more modern company, and has nothing to do with the Swiss Breguet. You can try to search that to convince yourself.
I have a Brazilian Orient, caliber 469, here they say it's a bricklayer's watch, a construction worker. In Brazil he is the king, the Swiss watch would not last a day in everyday life. However, a Swiss watch is elegance and social status. My best regards from Brasil, Great vídeo!
Thanks ❤
I would have mention a honor addition: Swatch. Those little fun colorful pieces saved the industry when needed the most!

Great video!!! Keep up the good work. I am a Rolex fan boy but I plan to buy a Hamilton Ventura, JLC worldtime, Vacheron fiftysix, and even though it's not on the list, probably a Cartier Santos... But honorable mention to Blancpain, I love the fifty fathoms. And also Breguet, they have nice watches if I could a afford, I would buy.

Good evening LADY ? I am not a watch collector. I just have wrist watches as the best tool to keep myself on the right time. Anyways, I do love watches, Cloc'ks . . . for different reasons. I'm surprised that you mentioned some brand that I picked for your different personal purposes. Hamilton, TISSOT; these two ones. The TISSOT gave several conversations, I say not a word but it were nice times. Good relations, good well times of human conversations. Truth is that I consider myself a minimalist. So, I prefer field watches. ETA, MIYOTA, SELLITA Calibers, plus Chronograph accurate. Thank you, Lady ?
I am a Rolex lover but have recently been introduced to the relatively new Swiss watch brand, Norqain. Do you have any thoughts on Norqain? By the way, your video on the 17 Best Swiss Watch Brands is absolutely amazing! Please keep your videos on watches coming! Great job!

I like how the brand names of the watches are pronounced.
Hamilton is best affordible swiss made watch. Not crazy expensive but it's very solid
Pls show more the casios on sale on the last rack close to the floor. Armitron since ages are for sale for usd 22. Most viewers are interested in Timex n Casio watches on sale. Please concentrate more on Casio n Timex n less on Amitron n George pleaseee:)
FP Journe would have been my inclusion in the Top 10. For history of technical achievement, Zenith would have been included in my list. It's bewildering that names like Frederique Constant and Baume & Mercier are in the list and yet not Cartier. Sure, Cartier is first and foremost a jewelry brand. But they have for the last many decades created their own movements and combined with their iconic Tank and Santos names, the list would not be complete without Cartier.
My fav is Casio G-Shock ...
Wheres Girard Peregaux? Rado?
There are so many brands not mentioned. I own both mechanical and quartz watches. Watch purists turn up their noses at the quartz line, but cate of these watches is simple compared to mechanical watches. Servicing the mechanical watches can be a problem, because many watchmakers refuse to handle these complex watches, and even more skilled people will only handle certain brands making service a nightmare.
❤

My Dad was in the RAF from 1941 to 1968, and, as aircrew, he was always issued with a watch. The last one I can remember, we he got in about 1960, was a Jaeger-LeCoultre. I have to say, it was probably the ugliest watch I've ever seen! Massive brushed stainless steel case, with a light ochre face, blued steel hands and a tan pigskin strap - ugly but functional! Never found one similar on the 'net though. I love my steel/gold Omega Seamaster and my wife has a steel/gold/diamond Constellatiom - great brand!

1) Omega didn't /invent/ the co-axial escapement, it was invented by George Daniels. 2) numerous spelling and grammatical errors on screen throughout the video, 3) should have included Girard Perregaux.

@@corporatemcmahon2815 She only repeated the script that was given to her. Most of the Watch technicians working on/at all companies, refardless if they are Swiss, German, Japanese, Chinese, American, have been historically women. So there is no male spaces here at all. And it were women who helped many watch companies to rise to where they are now. But many Chauvinist males inside/outside the industry negate this fact. My niece was trained at the Lititz Watch Institute in Pennsylvania, and now works for PP after having been an apprenticeship with Rolex in the mid 1990s.
