17 Asia after 1200 II

This lecture concludes the series on South and Southeast Asia with India and the downfall of the Mughal Empire and the rise of the British Raj. The British would at first reject the indigenous styles in favor of their own Gothic revivalist style, and then slowly integrate native South Asian characteristics. In South East Asia, rulers would associate themselves with Buddha as king and Islam would spread to Indonesia that remains one of the most multicultural regions in the world today.
