There are individuals living in their own worlds reacting to signals that others don't get.... it's crazy. Then there are groups, countries, competing for their versions of truth....even crazier. What I understand is that as long as the mind is continually stimulated we get the world ..but if it's left alone we settle into the stream of life happening.

ANNA BROWN - a seeming force to be reckoned with - is deeply loved AND raked over the coals at the same time by thousands. Read the comments, they'll blow what's left of your 'mind'! My suggestion: don't assume she's holding out, refusing to help, or any other negative. Don't assume at all. Let your misgivings be like a Zen koan whose purpose is to bust you out of your "normal" thinking! Go for it: allow paradoxes to breathe! Go for it!

Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate. (Said by Carl Jung) The beauty of "Awareness". Without darkness and light, there is no picture show. Darkness's main tool is ignorance. For me I became aware that my unconscious egoic mind was running the show most of the time, in between short periods of intuition, peace, love and such. I observed my lower egoic mind categorizes, judges, separates us from each other, from direct perception, and our higher self, brings in duality and causes most of our suffering. The lower egoic mind cannot control the egoic mind, but it can be observed/witnessed by our highest self and seen for what it is and put in proper order. Our Spiritual self using the temporary physical body and egoic mind as needed. The lower egoic mind is necessary for remembering our passwords, contains our wisdom and such. Do you know why people who meditate often observe their breathing or egoic mind daily? Ones breathing is in the NOW and this energizes observing or the witness consciousness instead of the chatty egoic mind. Also the breath is what connects our Spiritual self to this temporary body suit. No breath and the physical body dies. Have you ever looked at something for the 1st time? So nothing to compare it too or judge it by. Just pure awareness and wonder. This is the state of mind where there is only consciousness. As a brief reminder, I sometimes picture my eyes in front of me not connected to a brain. LOL. Also when one goes from observing something to thinking about it, you are now limiting the information you are getting because you egoic mind is made up of your past although can project into the future. Plus some of the things were interpreted incorrectly. Another thing I noticed was that when I was talking with someone and they said something I wanted to respond to that touched me, I barely heard what they said after that! Instead of intensely listening and trusting I will respond correctly at the end of their point. Unlike Anna, I was conditioned in certain areas of my life. Like the Religion I was brought up in taught me what to think, rather than how to discover the truth and what blocks it.

Strange, because without the compass which people are already living because they feel 'lost, with no sense of direction.' There's a song out there, "I once was lost but now I'm found, was blind but now I see." (Amazing Grace). Elvis sings a good version on He Touched Me. What do non dualists always bring up? (Clarity). Why? Are they blind and lost and don't know where they are going? We are guided along by Grace. Which definitely has direction. How do you know if you're staying on the beam? SYNCHRONICITY! 🙏

Animals DO have a self consciousness. My sister had to ignore her dog's whining and need for attention as she was doing something important, she had to ignore the demands for attention and told the dog to stop bothering her. Her dog understood, went to my brother-in-law instead. From then on her dog refused to respond to my sister for two days, even to the point that the dog sat in the corner, ignored her and literally sat with it's back to her! Never happened before. It eventually got better and now they are best of friends again. No one can convince me that animals don't have a feeling of "self" or a feeling of "This is what you did to me, so this is what I'm going to do to you"

One concept that may help grasp what Anna calls forth. Is. “All that is is Awareness, both manifest and yet to manifest. “ Subatomic particles through to totality is its play and, it’s field or span is infinite. There is existence but no one’s existence. It is thinking that is thinking. It is not me that is thinking, thinking is thinking. The one that identifies with experience has no inherent entity as it is awareness collecting itself in the fleeting instant of consciousness / aware of now. The deepest,so to speak, human mind can go is to sleep. Where self aware is not present at all. So what is awareness and where is it experienced and by what?

I got a doubt that if having no self reflection (which I believe is the feeling of separate self) and being just spontaneous is what enlightenment is like, then are animals enlightened too? because they do not have self reflection and they behave spontaneously? and I ticked some boxes for them like they are always in the now, generally they rarely feel like "this is not how its supposed to be", they just are. I was curious what separates an animal from an enlightened being and if they are not enlightened, why are they not? because they seem to be doing the right things 🤔

Her very presence is what you say is lacking. It seems most all speaking on this topic is an analytical approach, which is trying to speak the speak which is beyond the capacity of the words them self. Our judgment of her or anyone is what holds us in the relative truth, but the essence and nature of that is, the absolute truth. They are not two. To think that she is trying to speak over our heads is , in fact, you holding onto your fixed view. The view is the absolute, the path is realising presence and the fruit is the stability of the view in one’s personal experience of what is. Simple really, but ego holds onto, the sense of seperate self and will not relax that, and experience absolute View💃🕺🏻

A few weeks ago I saw a baby bird, a chick laying on my drive way. I think it was a young Magpie because it was quite large, about 6 inches long. It was unconscious with eyes closed and beak open struggling to breath. It had obviously been attacked by something because it had raw, open wounds. It was an ugly and distressing thing to see it's body moving, dying and struggling to stay alive. Like that raptor eating a bird alive.. How can suffering be ok, even though it's 'just' nature, how can that be seen as good? I often wonder if this is all a set up, some kind of "soul trap" thing set up by some wicked god Being, and we are being duped into believing/accepting it's "Just What IS".

I understand what Anna is saying but why does she speak about it in such a way that there’s no bridge between what she’s discovered and the people who haven’t realized it yet? It’s almost as if she’s trying to speak over peoples heads on purpose. If this oneness is so simple and there’s nothing to seek or understand about it, then why have an online presence talking about it in the first place? The ultimate truth may be infinite oneness with no separation, but her lack of acknowledgment of the relativistic separation that one experiences while stair stepping toward the truth is puzzling. Is she trying to help people understand, or just speak in a way that shows she “gets it” in a way that others don’t and just leave it at that?

  • @lbarash1

@Joseph Nolan there are actually ways to explain this and guide people toward realizing they are not their ego and instead the awareness. There are practices that will lead people there. That’s what I mean by creating a bridge. Of course all there is is awareness of what is arising in this present moment, but first people need to understand how to stop focusing on the thoughts and identifying with the ego/character that we are playing, which obscures the true nature of reality and hold people back from realizing what Anna has realized.

@Joseph Nolan yes, in absolute truth you are right of course. But in relative terms, there are people who don’t get it. If recognizing the absolute truth didn’t come with a relief from suffering, then there’s nothing wrong with just saying “there are no people to guide and nothing to get.” But when people are suffering, it doesn’t hurt to be helpful and trying to guide others to this realization.

@Joseph Nolan I don’t disagree with you at all. So you’re saying that there are no people and no one is suffering therefore it doesn’t matter how many of “us” have woken up to the true nature of reality. If “someone” is miserable and suicidal it’s no better or worse than someone who is joyous and free. It’s all just arising. Anna spoke about authenticity and being organic…I believe that for me is to respond with love and compassion and wanting to guide “others” to this liberation in any way I can.

At the whole begining of the interview Anna was only self-referencing like her awakining came just by herself, like "I was 7 years old and then I fall out of the bed and became awaken". I think she was not being honest not acknowledging books or gurues she surely had in her spiritual path. Her teachings are at all not new, and she is pretending that all of them came by herself. In the interview, she only referenced to Alan Watts after 5 minutes of the interviewer asking her about gurues at her awakining path. But still she didn't even remember what book was that.

I don't think you are being fair to Anna. She had an awakening when she was 7 but had no philosophical frame to put it in. She searched many years to find a frame but she already had the inner experience. She is not pretending to be anything. Her whole point is that she has worth to herself and could not care less what others think of her. And a true guru doesn't care if they are acknowledged or not.

I really enjoyed your discussion with Anna. It is basically impossible to understand non duality through the analytical mind for it(the analytical mind) requires terminology for all of its investigations. As soon as we engage the analytical mind, ie. transforming perception into a thought or birthing a concept we divide wholeness into male and female parts (duality). As soon as we dissect the undissectable, we have stepped into a perceiving of that which does not truly exist, therfore, it is illusion. All that is manifest is just that, Illusion, yet all of this illusion, at its very core, is Absolute Truth: All of this universe in its infinite variety, Beauty, and perfection is a nonexistence whose very presence(haha) is built upon and completely an expression of unconditional Love and Absolute Truth. The real power of this lovely discussion is when you asked Anna, "What is it like to live in freedom?"and she replied that basically that freedom is life without the negotiator. That speaks volumes about how freeing the mind of attachments moves us directly into our 💕 Hearts where true freedom lives. Anna must be a student of or from the spirit family of Krishnamurti. Krishnamurti rocks. 💓💕💕🌈🕉🪷 Many Blessings to All
