One of those little hand held uv lights is handy for quick setting it. Then you can follow up with the lamp. I'd be careful about exposing your skin. Kind of like a tanning bed.

I have lupus and have to very careful with UV rays as they can trigger flares. I always keep my lamp turned away from me. I did get a pair of "manicure gloves", this way if I need to hold anything near the lamp, then the majority of my skin is covered. Even then I'll only hold it a few seconds until it won't run and then pull my hand out. The manicure gloves are what people can wear that are getting gel nails done.

My handheld light seems to do a better job than the uv lamp. It's got about a 3" lens on it studded with a bajillion led lites. Usually only do glue jobs with uv but I could see doing the water drops on the outside of the frog. I'll try both.

I love this frog, he turned out so good! The two different chameleon powders really blend seamlessly! I dont have any chameleon pigment yet but I definitely want get some after seeing this.

Two differences with the frog versus the coasters... The coaster mold is solid white and the frog is see through which allows the light to get to the underside a bit. And since you were putting the frog under the light every few drops it spent way more time curing. The frog is awesome.

Correct,plus these drops are clear UV versus, say black drops which is notorious for being too dark for the UV light to penetrate.

You can put your whole hand in the lamp Julie - it is a nail lamp so safe to do so and yes, as previous commenter said, put a mirror mat or foil underneath helps.
