I could never confess to my crush because of my insecurities. Like they legit confessed to me and I was like…. Oh are you playing a joke on me? My regret afterwards was immeasurable but I was too scared to ask if they were for real.

My boyfriend is an INTJ and I'm an INFJ. Actually, when he first confessed we were just quietly walking in the park and he asked if he could hold my hand, but then he just grabbed my thumb and we briefly shared our feelings. Two weeks later he kissed me for the first time, but I didnt know we had already established we were in a relationship, so I was like "uh... what are we?" And he goes "wait, I thought you were my girlfriend." And all could say was "since when?" Turns out the two of us really misunderstood each other and are just super awkward. Two years later and we still joke about it! 😅

@@nattay9852 What part dont you guys understand? I'm curious to know lol Is it that I didnt know we were already dating? At that time, he told me he liked me, and I said I liked him. But just saying that doesn't automatically mean we're together right? In Korea, there's a culture of having a phase between first meeting and then actually being in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. This phase is called a "Some" relationship. So I though that's what we were, while he assumed we were already boyfriend and girlfriend when he confessed. Does that make sense?

This is too accurate to my husband and I and how we got together. We’ve been together since high school and in 2005, we went to our high school winter ball. He actually just started holding my hand out of nowhere. For a couple of months, it was assumed by both of us (I am an INFJ and he is an INTJ) that we were “official” but we never said it until our friends pointed it out lol. We were unofficially “officially” together for two months until we made it officially official 😂

As an INFJ, that was too accurate because -Confesses if he for sure knows she likes him back -Gets his intuition wrong, awful pain -“Are you sure??” Always wanting to go beyond the surface like a therapist -Hides the pain because it will hurt x100 more if he sees the other person feel bad about it -Fails, which means complete destruction of an INFJ

this happened to me in the exact order as above: -I know she likes me, and I like her back, gotta be 98 percent sure before confessing -she's not into me at all and never was or will be apparently, ouch(really) -really? what about all the signs and acting like a couple, etc. i must know why -continue to work and live together for months, acting like nothing happened so not to make her worry -she finds a new guy exactly like her ex and moves away, I feel like a fool

I am an INTJ. And my boyfriend is INFJ. He is the best thing ever happened to me. I urge to all the INTJs that if you want to be understood, date an INFJ. They are clearly our soulmates. Just that, INFJs need a lot of love and since I have been working on my tertiary since 4 years, I have started appreciating his little efforts which made a huge difference. It was 4 months of "Thank you for being so kind" even when I expressed my feelings and alignment. And then BAM one day, "I love you and want to marry you" + telling his parents (which Is a big deal in India). INFJs are the best people in this universe. They are mushballs, lovable, and absolutely adorable. My best friend and my brother, both are INFJs, as well. Trust me, a love like that is hard to find.

I love him, I pamper him in all the ways that are humanly possible. As an INTJ, I have been robotic my whole life, but he makes me human. He makes me a better person. A better doctor. A better everything. He is the love of my life. And he has a little bit of God in himself (if there is one). I grew up with INFJ mother and brother. And my father is ENFJ. So I know how to handle NFs but I didn't know the INFJs could figure us out so well. And you know what? He loves me as I am. Flaws and all.

@@sarahthomas2922 Honestly, I don't think, how someone is treated is a very generalized thing. But yes, I personally have had some of the experiences with my INFJs. My mother, my brother, my best friend of 12 years and now my fiance and even his sister, these 5 people in my life, who are actually in the very close knit circle of mine have had a mix of experiences. I have seen that only a handful of people are able to understand INFJs and treat them the level they deserve to be. Thankfully, I have an insight about this and I make sure that all my INFJs are being treated with the understanding and love they need to be the healthiest and most profound version of themselves. One thing I noted is,all of these have a very inherent and very deep emotional range (unlike mine) and even when they are hurt, they know how to function (which is not seen in INTJs -NiFi loop). I think what an INFJ wants the most is healthy respect, even more than love. They are so sweet and so hardworking. Excellent in their careers. Infact, we are all from science backgrounds. My mother taught Chemistry to highschoolers, my brother is a neurologist, my best friend is an orthopaedician,my fiance is a dermatologist, and i am a doctor, and now preparing for my speciality. Even my fiance's sister is in pharmacovigilance. I think, INFJs do wonders in healthcare and science. They are just amazing people who just are misunderstood and they have their little shells and their lovely, colorful self comes out in front of someone who loves them dearly and is close enough and vulnerable enough. I am in love with my fiance more than I can ever explain. He is the most amazing person in this entire galaxy. Coming from an INTJ, who had to work on this for years, to say it out loud, because My INFJ deserves every bit of it.

i totally agree. i really don't like the stereotype of intj's being cold and not having emotions and also don't really understand where it's coming from. i mean, we do have tertiary fi and (at least in my case) it's pretty strong. feelings and emotions are definitely there, i just have a hard time articulating/communicating them. though that's also probably more due to my mental health than my type...

As an INFP woman, here's how went my last love confession. I was 8 years old, took an hour to write a short passionate love declaration, then threw it in the trash in fear of rejection. Then I had a great idea. I asked my only childhood friend to subtlely ask him "if he loved me OR any other girls". Then my friend came back, told me "Sorry, he said he hates you." Then, my heart felt both painful from hearing that answer and light to know I avoided the worst humiliating moment of my life thanks to my childhood friend. Thank you again friend !!!

Safety makes the INFP brave. If the other person truly gets you, they will make the effort to make you feel safe, or it will happen organically. That is why an evolved INFJ can be a great match for an INFP. We will take the time to stand in your shoes and hear your story without judgement. A safe INFP is the most romantic creature I have encountered.

Always love you infp. My husband was an infp. It was a sacred delicate thing. Anyways, we fell apart because I wasn't his ideal. The love was there. But even with force I could only be me. My advice, is to accept who you love though it isn't what you visioned. Good luck and know that infj needs you, you really are the world.

You guys also never seem to let a crush go. I have this INFP friend who had this mad crush on a coworker couple of years back. Didn't even confess anything just admired from afar. She eventually switched jobs and somehow still that crush remains. How? How is that possible? My crushes usually die out if I don't see the person for like roughly the same time I've interacted with them. So 2 weeks in 2 weeks out. I really don't get that. It just seems like obsession to me. No offence - ENTP

When I saw the INTJ one I was a bit confused because I have an INTJ friend and I don't think she is expressionless because I usually know what she is feeling by looking at her. I like talking about different things and topics with her, and I think I can hear genuine intrest and excitement in her voice. After reading these comments I think she is more expressive because her older sister is an ENFP and they have a very good relationship between them. What I can tell you is just wait, it'll happen, we tend to be pretty interesting for almost everyone when they get past the first stage of meeting us. I'm a healthy German INFP with teo children. My husband is ENTP (also the father of the children). I'm the INFP type that confesses her feelings pretty soon. When I was in fitht class it took me an entire year but hey I still confessed, I got rejected and it didn't take to long to get over the boy (he was very respecful and I excepted his desition right away) after that it took some years untill I actually confessed again (I had crushes in between but never confessed, thank god XD). I had a buch of relationships, they didn't last because I fell in love with someone else. It happened more than once. Infp here: I do imagine scenarios in my head and usually avoid confessing but one time I was bold and wrote all my feelings in a letter. I left it by his stuff and he didn't bring it up for a week. I eventually asked him if he got it (he did) and told him there was no pressure to respond. He never did so that told me everything I needed to know. I'll never do that again. I'm seriously just planning to be single and live vicariously through the relationships of those around me and in books/movies.

As an ENTJ, this was 100% accurate, I basically made her sear on everything possible before confessing. She was so overwhelmed at that point...

INFJ one is the exact scene I have been repeating in my head every time I had a crush and prevented me from the disaster that was getting rejected and the reason I have been upholding my single status for 28 years

(He did also say that what I said didn’t change how he viewed me). I just ignored that and took it as a no because I was trying to move on anyway. I was doing pretty good until around Christmas he was really flirty and I was very confused. At this point I’ve just decided that that’s his problem if he doesn’t know what he wants. Because I’m not really interested and want to move on. He’s a nice guy but immature and I do not have the mental stability to deal with that. I just wanna be friends and he doesn’t seem to know what he wants.

As an INFP, we just imagine our love stories like our favorite romances from books, movies, and shows. I'm definitely gonna need a slightly extroverted man to be willing to get through the introvert wall I've built lol being small for my age and not liking makeup or fancy clothes doesn't help lol

As an INFP, the first time I decided to confess my love to a significant other, I literally sat in silence for 20-30 minutes while I rehearsed my lines over and over again. Then I finally took the plunge and started to explain how I felt, but when my partner didn't respond as I had planned, I gave up and never actually said, "I love you." I’m an ENFP and two years ago, I confessed my love to my crush. He just walked away. I was so sad and couldn’t get over it, and now I’ve been terrorized with being in the same class with him for the past two school years after that.

The INTP one killed me. It was literally a discord chat! XD One of the funniest things as an INTJ is that people have told me that I am extremely reserved and don't show much emotion, but have also said that I have a very expressive face. I have no idea what to make of this or which statement is accurate. Is possible that both are true? Is it even possible for both to be true? I just don't know. One of life's many mysteries I guess. Even funnier, people have literally thought that I don't like them, even though I have a solidly neutral stance on their presence. No idea why XD

I'm an INFP and I also used to get both of those. Some Fi types can have a bit of a disconnect between what they're feeling on the inside and what they're expressing on the outside. Sometimes this means we fail to outwardly express what we're feeling at all, and other times, it just seems to pour out raw and unfiltered. Whereas Fe types tend to have much more natural awareness of how they come off to others and do more modulating of how they express themselves. With time, I've developed that skill to some extent, but I used to be clueless about it.

As an INFJ that really hurts by the fact it happened to me.

Oh man this is hysterical and amazing! I'm an ENFJ and my ex was an ISTP. You nailed that one (and all of them)!! I guess that match up was a disaster waiting to happen. Also, my twin sister, my best friend, and my other good friend are all INFJ's and we get along so well, it's crazy how this all works, but it's so true.

as an ISFP, this really happened to me. i gave a letter to the boy i liked, but i was scared about his reaction, so i just gave it to him and ran away.

As an ENTP I can confirm that flirting is much more exciting than whatever other romantic nonsense is supposed to follow it.

Next you're supposed to move on to picking on them in a joking way so they still feel singled out, stealing bits of their food when they're eating so they feel physical closeness, and figuring out some kind of deep topic they care about so you can have an intellectually stimulating debate with lots of eye contact. Not only confessing feelings, but complementing too. I yelled my friend and crush at the time HEY YOU ARE CUTE and yelled back THANKS. And cry in the inside cuz she thought I was just messing up with her.

As an ISFP, I can confirm that I feel much more comfortable writing out something complex like confessing my love for someone than verbally blurting it out. I can also confirm that, sometimes I don't want to be around for people's reactions to my writing.

INFJ here and several months ago, I mustered up the courage to ask out someone I have had a crush on for months, only to get rejected and subsequently cried afterwards (not in front of him). I thought I was being such a wuss but thank goodness, it's just my personality type 😅

As an INTJ, I would say " I tolerate your existence" as my form of love ❤️

INFJ has now quit their job, moved country, sought out 4 different therapists, introspected a LOT by way of productive procrastination and has written many poems after slowly and gently freezing out the other person who is now completely obsessed with INFJ and not sure why. Nevertheless, INFJ remains single…. and NOT happy about it! Maybe I’ve been there a few times 😇

As a felow ENFP, I think this might happen a lot to us. I have lliterally had my friends tell me that they knew I had just broken up but they felt as if they didn't tell me that someone else would get to me first.... So although sweet, it sets up a real issue with us.... My thought when I read this was... "IF you really knew me, then you would realize it takes me about a week to process that I need to do the dishes let alone how long it is going to take me to process my terrible break up... and now having to process even THIS... " I think because we have a hundred ideas we can throw out at people in an instant, they also think we can process our feelings that fast. So yeah, I have been there where if the timing was right, I may have started something with them or even tried but hopping from one relationship to the next is not at all what people in general need to do, let alone an ENFP, that can take a while to realize what reality we are living in. I have learned that I DONT tell ANYONE when I break up with someone.... let me process it.... AND THEN tell everyone.

I'm an INTJ but sort of related more to the ISTJ confession lol Also I'm VERY emotionally expressive if my emotions hit a certain threshold (0-to-60 type thing), hence why I always would avoid any crush I've ever had like the plague to avoid acting fucking weird as hell around them :D

@@FalconOfStorms idk Seraph the problem is that whenever i fee resentful of myself for giving passion a space in my life meanwhile I could hardly study or work, I put all my upset on my bf, or take a break from the relationship. I always be very toxic in relationships. I can't make a balance between my emotions nd my goals.

I knew the ESTP skit was an ESTP before you clarified it because that's almost exactly how my husband confessed to me 🤣 and as for me (INTP), I wish I had texted my confession, but I just suddenly blurted out "Um, I think I like you-- maybe, or something." 😳 Yeah, not my finest moment, he still teases me now when I say I love him by adding, "Maybe, or something?" 😁

As an INTJ I don't think I can ever do a confession to the certain someone. Because probably I couldn't understand my feelings or not be able to confess it properly. And if somebody come and confess me then I probably refuse and don't talk with them after because I will be uncomfortable around them...

I'll try to get to know someone first as friends and only open up to them when im sure we are compatible. So far, my intj second mind, i mean heart (eww) only agree to open up to another intj. And that only happen once in my lifetime lol

You will. And you'll grow past this. You'll get hurt a bunch of times in the process, but it's a necessary part of the "human" experience. Until you've had your heart walked all over, you won't really understand the emotional references everyone else uses. The first one hurts like crazy, but it gets easier each time. Go out there, get rejected. Repeat until victory.

Was in love with a guy for about five years but I was never able to do anything because of my insecure self and doubting if he felt the same way despite so many people telling me that he probably had feelings for me aswell. The fact that he was a damn wreck of a person aswell didn't help either, because anytime we got something starting our anxiety would kick in, I would withdraw and he would go into an offensive state. It was on and off, high and extremely low but for some reason neither of us did anything to break that vicious cycle even tho we both knew how incredibly toxic that was. Last time we saw eachother something had again started to blossom between us and he was even taking some steps. It ended very abruptly and I haven't seen him for almost a year now. I still have feelings for him somewhere deep in my heart but I know it would have never worked and I have made my peace with it, it hurts less now than it did then. Oh boy did it hurt. Five years is a long time. Every time I think I spot him in the city or pass places he would be I pray that I don't see him yet at the same time something irrational in me wishes to get a glimpse of him and for him to see me too. In conclusion, as a very broken INFP, I need to take extra care to not get into this kind of hell hole again.

As an INFJ girl, I'm the one friend zoning everyone who likes me. And I never let anyone break the walls, but the ISFJs know to emotionally break them & trap me with no any other options but 'I love you too' And I'm still afraid, and afraid of every single move.

I could tell the INTJ even before he started to speak. I managed to marry one, somehow. On our 13th anniversary I asked why he’d decided he wanted to marry me, and he got super uncomfortable and said it had just seemed like the next logical stage of our relationship. (sigh) I can promise you, though, if you can crack their hard shell, there’s a sweet nougaty center hidden deep inside there. Just takes someone who’s up for the challenge.
