In this video Jota Machinery will demon you the 2 step process for manufacturing narrow prepreg tape roll used in automated fiber placement machine .
Usually the narrow carbon fiber prepreg tape is 3.175mm/6.35mm/12.7mm these 3 acceptable width.
Jota machinery adopts one set 1100mm ud slitting machine to converter the thermoset carbon fiber prepreg into 30-300mm width firstly then load the slitted prepreg tape to the other 16-axis traverse spooling machine go one further rewinding .
The final spooled tow prepreg can directly load on automated fiber placement(AFP)machine
